Happy for Cam, but SHOCKED with the reported contract. Way higher than I expected. OBJ is likely not getting more than the league minimum. Cam freakin' broke the bank. Good for him, and happy the Pats get that $1.5MM back on the cap. Every little bit helps

Darnold is just bad. Watching him play sunday, it was not as if the pats were just killing him. He has no idea how to read defenses, he has no idea how to change things pre snap, he does not know what letting a receiver clear means. He throws at receivers, not to spots. He is just not getting it.

Third overall draft pick for da Jete, and we'll never let them forget it.

His signing bonus and workout bonus are not subject to offsets. The $1.5M guaranteed salary is subject to offsets.

I would have thought that if he only signed in week 9, that NEP only gets (17-8)/17 = 9/17ths of relief from his cap hit.

Edit and relatively OT: Very difficult to find actual jersey sales numbers for the NFL (after a quick halfhearted search). Of note in my findings is that ManU sold 3.25 million jerseys in 18-19 and when Ronaldo moved to Juventus, they sold 520k for $60 mil in one day. I don't watch soccer at all, but by extreme luck the only match I've ever watched in person (besides the Revs championship loss to LA 20 years ago) was Camp Nou watching the 6-1 Barça - PSG miracle comeback, only a month after 28-3. Almost bought a Messi jersey. Can't imagine how many he's going to sell at PSG.

Edit 2: Forbes: Romo led 2008 in jersey sales with over 3mil units. Geeeeeez.
