It's 34-0 in the first half. You're correct to a degree, in that the defense is constructed to require a lead to be even passable. Which, to me, indicates that it's a terribly constructed defense. Especially since the Colts' offense, even with Manning, isn't even one of the five most explosive in the NFL. In short: the defense is bad, and not because Manning isn't there.

The Colts haven't had a good defense in nearly a decade, but it was good enough with Manning in there to get double digit wins. With Collins it is good enough to get double digit losses.

I checked out coltsfreaks.com just to see what folks there might be saying. Lots of complaining about Houston getting all the calls and Indy getting none. That was early; they seemed to have moved on to (gulp) criticizing the organization.

Heard one of the announcers early on says that the Ravens were going to use their tight ends this year more like the Patriots did in 2010.
