Thought I'd start one for rumors and discussion.

Perfect time for the Pats to make a deal as the newcomer will have 2 weeks to bone up on the playbook.

at this point, I really don't know. So much depends on injuries too. I keep thinking a trade for an o-line player but hard to say

A little center/guard competiton would be nice to see. Andrews doesn't have me convinced. But I think anything like this is unlikely.

He's been one of the best players on our OL. What's the problem?

Sounds crazy, but I'd love for us to acquire Julius Thomas in a trade with the jags. I believe a 3 TE set with Thomas would be virtually unstoppable. He's also a guy that has a pretty high ceiling as hes only been playing football since 2010. Mcdaniels could really get creative with him and the rest of the offense

I think the Jets would be smart to trade both Richardson and Marshall. Marshall would be an intriguing pick up for the Pats, although I highly doubt the Jets would trade him to the Pats.

Look for Cleveland to have a fire sale today, Haden, Thomas, etc.

TB needs a RB, as they lost another one yesterday.

DT is what we need and it should be what all Pat fans want. I think teams which have excellent O-Lines and talented running backs would do a lot of damage to the Patriots. Not only would they be able to score on the Pats but a strong running game would eat up clock and reduce the amount of time Brady is on the field.

Cleveland's executives and front office really should be considering any and every player on their roster. They can set themselves up through the draft for the next couple of years if they play things correctly.

For instance you could trade Joe Thomas and ask for a 2018 1st Rounder and nothing in the 2017 draft. At least one team would probably do that which would give them two first rounders as they already have a huge number of picks in the 2017 draft.

I don't think Bill will do much this year, nor do I think he needs to, maybe with the exception of adding OL or DT depth.

Prediction: some AFC team will land a washed up veteran who was once a star, and people on this forum will lose their **** and call the trade deadline a failure.

haden and joe thomas. can you imagine????? rescue them from the dumpster fire in cleveland!!!

Hopefully the Jets don't trade Richardson to an AFC Weat team like Denver or Oakland. Both could use his services, though Denver probably couldn't afford him without doing their salary cap cheating again.

Last night I said CB is a must but based on the numbers Rowe allowed 1 catch on 5 attempts for 7 yards.

Not trying to be all rose colored glasses here but IMO the 2 PI calls were questionable.

So....

Maybe a veteran CB for the outside as I'm just not sure if the PI calls ae gonna hurt Rowe's confidence.
Maybe a vet DT who can get up the field a little. I just don't like having 2 rooks backup Branch and Brown.
Maybe a swing T if Vollmer is absolutely toast
Maybe a swing G if Jackson is also toast

With that said I don't think all of the aforementioned position are dire needs.

I thought one of the PI calls (the first one) was reasonable. The last one was total bull$hit.

Agree about DL help. Can't believe I'm saying this, but another TE wouldn't hurt. Didn't we have a third one? What happened to that guy? LOL

If someone pops up great but they don't need anything.

Maybe a 3rd TE or Guard or DT. But that are depth positions we hopefully don't need to use.

I would love that. Solder was a turnstile yesterday, at least 2 sacks were his fault. Put Thomas at LT and Solder at RT. Haden would be a great addition to the secondary.

Doesn't he make a lot of money? He's kind of soft also..

Gotta love the analysis on this site. 2 sacks on 38 drop-backs = turnstile. I'm sure you also tell me that the Pats didn't create any pressure on Taylor yesterday....

Ya Solder didn't have a great game but to act like he was a turnstile is laughable. You want to see turnstile go watch the AFCC.
