OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

As expected, #Bucs will go with Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Griffin and Kyle Trask tonight vs. the Titans. Tom Brady and most, if not all, the starters will sit tonight. Brady is not participating in warmups

Not an official count but the #Bucs appear to have roughly 50 players dressed for the preseason game tonight vs. Titans.

Tonight's matchup features a starting QB duel between Blaine Gabbert and Matt Barkley. Who says these teams aren't taking this game seriously?

Also the Chiefs rely on two very important pieces for their offense to run and they need both on the field at the same time. Losing either Kelce or Hill completely changes their explosiveness. And yes it’s hardly uncommon for any great football team to rely very heavily on a couple super stars but they really don’t have much to fill their shoes in the event one goes down.
Back up tackles are also an issue for them. Lol

I don’t know how to link Instagram stories but Brady put up one hell of a post today about being free from being imprisoned by someone and that you need to ignore the lies they spread about him. Umm. I’m starting to buy into the theory that Brady got word that the upcoming Wickersham book has quotes from probably unarmed Patriots people (Bill) that really paint Brady in a bad light. And that’s why he’s been scored earth for the last few months. Oh and before people inevitably go “ah it’s wickersham making stuff up” it is known that Brady is close and friendly with the guy. It’s likely Seth asked him for a comment about what he was told. Burt Breer, someone who has publicly said that he read the advance copy already, just this week dropped a nugget that Brady apparently was eager for Bill O Brian to be Pats coach after the 2017 season and SB 52 mess.

This is the meme he posted. It’s a quote from Jill Blakeway, no idea who she is other than being a dr of acupuncture.
Nothing Bill or anyone else on the patriots might say about Tom matters that much at this point, Rings talk. Brady has a ring without his old team and his old team hasn’t even finished .500 without him yet and there’s not a small chance that streak continues this year…. and for all we know, Bill may never make the playoffs again as a HC. Until proven otherwise, Brady has the last laugh.

Mahomes sucked today and made the exact same mistakes he’s continually made which is not stepping into a pocket and instead rolling out and trying for hero ball.

Because of your post I went and watched that game and I agree it wasn't a good day for him. It's preseason though so whatever that's worth.

I will say that one thing Mahomes does often or at least a few times a game is overthrow a wide open receiver.

I'm not bashing him. Kid is still a top five QB.

Health is definitely a major contributor to wins or losses in Super Bowls. I think Brady would possibly have two more rings and an undefeated season if a key player had been healthy.

Side note:. That's why I don't care about Mahomes missing his two starting tackles. It's a part of the game. Brady has won and lost without key players so suck it up Patrick. Welcome to the NFL.

Bruce Arians says starters could play at least the first half next week at Houston. He said they can’t go three weeks without playing and beat a good football team like Dallas.

Brady and Whitehead were both injured to the point of requiring post-season surgery.

Arians not as upset as you might think. Didn’t like early dropped passes. Pleased with individual efforts like O’Connor, Stuard. Said they may have made the team tonight.

He shouldn’t reveal information like that. Ernie Adams just came out of retirement to take advantage of Arians loose lips. In the second quarter of the matchup in New England, the guard will line up 3 millimeters to the right of where he usually is, resulting in a four yard gain.

Ted Johnson just said on the radio that he’s been hearing that the upcoming Seth book is very Belichick slanted.

Does slanted mean pro Bill or negative Bill?

Honestly, by the time it is released in October, the season will have begun and no one will care.

Winners win. Losers make excuses.

The Buccaneers had until Tuesday afternoon to cut five players and get down to an 80-man roster, but they decided not to drag the process out any longer than necessary.

The team announced this round of cuts on Sunday afternoon. Linebacker Quinton Bell, safety Nate Brooks, running back Troymaine Pope, wide receiver T.J. Simmons, and safety Lawrence White were placed on waivers.

Pope was dropped with an injury designation, so he will revert to injured reserve if unclaimed.

Oh I won’t deny that I’m interested. My pet theory is that Pats team sources just completely throw Brady under the bus for deflategate.
can’t wait to read the excuse for the Butler fiasco.

I feel like that Bill is totally the kind of passive agressive bully that can spread false information to make himself look good. He is a great coach but I don’t really like the guy. He can’t stand that someone is questioning his decision and I think that’s what force Gronk to retire and Brady to leave.

It’s unfair that Bill’s side of the story will be sourced by employees who still report to him. The thought of a bad mouthing book is revolting, and if BB encouraged it, or didn’t actively try to stop it, he has that would be beyond hypocritical with the supposed tight lipped Patriot Way. I’ll reserve judgment until it’s published though.

Bill has always come across as a really small person. Petty, insecure, vindictive, massive grudge holder.
