You could just as easily blame Brady for not seeing a wide-open James White on the strip-sack play...

I will say the defense was bad against the Foles Eagles. But as for 2007, the defense only gave up 17 points. And they did not got destroyed by Atlanta. They gave up 21 points.I'm sorry but BB's defense "won" half of the 6? They also were the reason we lost 3.
2007
Asante Samuel dropped the perfect season. A season led by.... the offense.
2011
The Pats would've been blown out by the Giants in 2011 without Brady. Not because their offense was good but our pass defense was complete trash all season.
The defense was annihilated by Atlanta and Philly in the Super Bowl. Like historically destroyed by a backup journeyman in Philly. Stop.
You can't give up 41 to Nick Foles, bench your best CB and get a pass. BB deserves more blame than he gets for losing that SB.
He played 6 games and it also was when Brady played his best. He faded. Likewise, I’m talking about results. The line was very good again once Wynn came back. Brady had plenty of time. The WR’s were still an issue and he couldn’t compensate

So that's what you look like...
Yeah. It has been 15 years. Must be nice for Tom and Gronk to be away from that level of scrutiny/drudgery and have their wins enjoyed so much. We've win so much in new england it was championship or bust.
Tampa is just happy to make the postseason

Must have been tough watching a guy you hate so much play with your "favorite" team for 20 years. They gave up 17 points . Pats offense was historic that year. That game was lost by the offense, they were held to season low point total by 6 points. They scored 38 points on the Giants literally 5 weeks before that game. Offense lost that one and really I think that was a loss even before the game when Brady snickered at some prediction that the Pats were only gonna score under 20 points
Ya...... Except that game was basically lost by Brady idiotically intentional grounding and taking a safety which gave the Giants 2 points. Take that away and the score is 19-17 at the end and Pats could have been playing for a FG when they got the ball back with a minute left and a timeout instead of having to play for a TD. Then there was the Welker drop and Brady's bonehead INT trying to go deep to a hobbled Gronk
Defense was not annihilated by the Falcons. They gave up 21 points and 340 yards. Brady spotted them 7 points.
Fun fact the 21 points scored by Falcons offense was their 2nd least amount scored in a game that year and the 340 yards was the 3rd lowest yardage total in a game that year

So nah you are wrong on '07 and '11 and they were pretty much the reason why the '16 SB was won because they kept the team in the game against the #1 offense in league that year despite the offense doing nothing for 3 quarters
It's pathetic. I don't know what they're trying to accomplish. It is stunning how supposed "fans" of the Patriots use the same dumb arguments that Colts/Jets fans used to use back in the day to discredit our SB wins/Brady.

You know, I never ever thought this would happen. No matter how things ended with Brady in NE, I always thought he would be celebrated for all the championships and glorious moments he brought for 2 decades. He did not even leave on bad terms. Finished out his contract, had a very short FA period and signed with an NFC team, never bad mouthing the Pats, Kraft or Bill on the way out. To have such vitriol aimed at him now just because the Pats are terrible and the Bucs are poised to make the playoffs, is maybe the saddest sports outcome of 2020 for NE.It's pathetic. I don't know what they're trying to accomplish.
Yeah I really wish Brady didn't make that comment about 17 points. I don't think the 2001-04 Patriots defense would have appreciated it if they heard that from the opposing QB.They gave up 17 points . Pats offense was historic that year. SB46 - Brady didn't have his best game but the defense lost that one. Not just the Manningham catch - the Giants were ranked 32nd in the league in rushing and were able to run on us really well. We all know the defense stunk that year. Tbh the Pats were only there because the AFC was pathetic and because Brady threw for 5200 yards. I mean the Tebow Broncos made it to the divisional playoffs. LOL
Wouldn't mind watching a repeat destruction of GBWould be nice to see Brady/Rogers in a playoff game.
