I wonder if laker fans would turn on Kobe call him selfish, system player, and overrated if he went to the magic when he was 40. Only going to Orlando after he was basically chased away by management.

here’s a clue they wouldn’t

It's no different than the Tompa fans bashing bill, calling him overrated and his success due to brady.

Me I'm just watching both teams because their success was mutual.

There really is no evidence bill didn't want to resign him. They assumed he would be back. Supposedly he was shocked when brady announced he was leaving.

Once the Patriots didn't upgrade the receiver positions he was out.

If he wanted him back he’d have offered a two year deal when Brady wanted it it’s that simple

Has anyone seen @Venocol? He's been quiet the last few weeks....I hope he's doing ok.

most are simply pointing out BB was some great genius till Brady came along. On the opposite side we have absolute clowns saying this proves something when Brady is ****ing 43

That is complete bull crap. Brady wasn't forced out, he decided to take another offer. I don't blame him, if someone is willing to pay a 43 year old qb that much money take it. Just don't expect Patriots fans to root for him. He took money over the laundry, most of us root for the laundry, some, like you, root for the players. I think there are others who post here regularly that root for Brady to spite BB, hoping he does well to show that BB sucks as a coach, not accusing you of that, because I don't think you are one of those posters, but there are definitely some who do. But for those of us who root for the laundry, I have said it before, Brady is just another player who plays for another team now. He should have retired a Patriot, but TB21, $$$$, and his ego, made it more important for him to play another year or two with another team. So, I hope his team loses.
I root for the laundry too. That's why I'd root for the Pats over Brady in a head to head matchup, like I will next year if he lasts. I'll also root for Cam even though I'm sure the Pats would be better with Brady instead.

I was also a fan of Big Sey's and was disappointed in him being let go over money, but that situation was different because we had Oakland's 1st round pick and their losses would help the Pats. If Brady were on the Raiders I'd root for him to lose too, but he isn't.

We agree that Brady should have retired a Patriot but we disagree on why he isn't. No harm no foul.

Because the Pats are such a tight-lipped organization, everything we believe is merely a supposition. We have no choice.

According to ESPN offensive stats we averaged 26.3 offensive pts per game last year compared to 20.9 pts per game this year. That’s a big difference.

Note:
NE had 7 defensive/special teams TDs in 2019 (49 pts => 3 pts/gm).........2 TDs in 2020

For all of you who are throwing Arians/Leftwich under a bus, it seems as if Brady is the one picking all the Bucs' plays...this is what he wanted. He wanted to go somewhere where he would have more input into the offense and he got it. Except it's not working out...

And who is saying that ? Bruce « no blame » Arians! It’s like when a reporter ask Bill about his bad trade lately and he says that it’s Nick that is handling trade! Everybody knows it’s not true.

It is well-documented that Brady wanted more input into the offense in NE, and it is likely that he demanded that he be his own offensive coordinator when he signed in Tampa. There is probably some truth to what Arians is saying.

Ya it’s Brady calling deep bombs and 30 times down field take this nonsense to bucs forums and see how it goes. Actually don’t, if you even watched the game you’d know Brady isn’t calling **** expect for a few drives ask tony Romo about it

Maybe Brady couldn't have stayed here....but...he sure as shyt should NOT have signed on to a team coached by a pork faced cracka moron LOSER like Arians. The fairy tale ending should have been S.F. and I think everyone knows it. The Pats should have worked it out, got Jimmy back, put Tom in the best offensive system suited to his skills and let the chips fall where they may. Instead, no one got what they wanted and the fans got fooked watching this bizarro frankenstein marriage in T.B. as they have to sit here and endure a season of "what ifs and could have beens".
I'm still holding out hope that Arians will adjust to Brady's strengh.

He also needs to play Rojo more. He is clearly head and shoulder the best RB on that team. It's like BB benching Harris for Sony when it is clear Harris is the much better RB.

With no Qb in the future in sight for NE, I'm sure they want JG back. I think SF will keep him at least one more year.

Arians and Brady have issues. Obviously I have no inside knowledge but there seems to be some trouble brewing in that locker room.

yeah keep making excuses for his poor play...it’s you and a few other clowns who can’t get over the fact that Brady is 43 years old and isn’t nearly the same anymore. last year it was Bill’s fault. this year it’s Arians.

I'm sure BB wanted him back too, but for a bargain basement deal. It's weird that he didn't get the Kobe treatment, or even the Brees treatment to entice him to stay.

Always good to see the same arguments that have been going on since March rehashed every 3-4 pages.

And exactly that is the problem. Try to be someone like Leftwich who has no reputation or street cred at all and tell an ultra competitive person like Brady that he needs to stop doing things because he is ****ing inconsistent at them. When Tom goes to the sideline after yet another 3 & out other players over there look like they are afraid of him.

In NE BB and McD would have stopped with those friggin go routes after 3-4 games realizing "this is not something we do well" and that would be it. But if you have nobody who has the balls to stand up to you with the cold truth to the point where there are confrontations on the sideline (like Brady had with BoB and McD) then don't be surprised about this lack of self scouting. It is easier to find excuses than accept that maybe despite all the talent you are not good at a certain thing.

Brady needs someone who he respects and is an equal football mind as his OC. Someone who will call Brady out on mistakes and wrong decisions. Someone that actually has a game plan. Leftwich ain't that. He is just there for the ride like Gase was with Peyton Manning.

This is also the moment people need to realize how much better than average McDaniels is as a playcaller. The offense keeps evolving, plays are built on top of others, motions one week have a different payoff than the next and things are consistently being set up for later. Does it work every week ? Hell no. But there is more thought put into our offense -- even if it fails like it did yesterday -- than whatever the hell the Bucs are doing.

There are always three aspects to success: thinking, execution and the outcome. And since we live in a probabilistic world you can have great thinking and execution but the outcome might still be poor. On the other hand sometimes the outcome is positive even though the entire process was moronic and low percentage. On an individual basis you can't know but on average over many, many reps a year if you put more effort into the first two you will be much more likely to have a positive outcome.

That's how we are a team that could have been anywhere between 8-3 and 3-8 this year despite a big gap in talent compared to others.

He hasn’t played very well lately no question about it. He has his share of the blame but the Tampa bay problems are just not all on Tom Brady. It’s not mutually exclusive.

I still continue to think that the coaching staff is not putting him in the best position to succeed. Maybe the plan at the beginning was for Brady to run the « no risk it, no biscuit » offense when you see that it doesn’t work like you want it to be maybe tailor some things to Brady strength instead of being stubborn could be beneficial.

it’s the same thing on D. I think their D has talent but the coaching staff doesn’t put them in position to succeed. Yesterday, they came in the game playing man against Hill. That is just stupidity. In the second half guess what they did, they doubled Hill and Kelsce and what did KC do in the second half? Nothing! Mahomes threw for only 102 yards in the second half.

I saw a stats where Brady lead the league in off target throws with 87. It would be interesting to know his off target throws by yardage. Like 0-20 yards and 20+. And does someone know if this stats count the throwaways?

This (along with discussion of the different -gates that this team has run into over the years) no doubt will be another must-read chapter of Bill's post career book. Really looking forward to it.
