OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Gronk will be saying "why did I come back?" when they start going low on him again.

Can we rightly call Brady the GOAT, after he mailed it in last year but gave 120% this year because of the new jersey on his back? That ain't a mark of greatness IMO.
Can we get a 'garbage bin' reaction, Ian?

How in the world were the Bills favored in week 2 of 2015??? The Pats were defending SB champs and were 1-0. The Bills had beaten Brady twice in games that mattered. That makes no sense.
People thought the dynasty was over when Shane Vereen signed elsewhere after 2014.

I don't know about you guys, but I want a TB vs SF NFCCG. I want Brady to show up Jimmy and make Shanahan and Lynch pay for passing on Brady.
They didn’t. Lynch asked for Brady and BB guffawed.

The people saying these things actually believe they're the rational ones in all of this. They fail to realize, or realize but refuse to acknowledge and accept, that this is mostly a Brady (and Gronk) thread, not a Bucaneers thread outright.

Based on the information posted thus far, that last sentence doesn't seem to be totally accurate.

A lot of articles/information relevant to the Bucs as a whole have been posted, not exclusively info specific to TB/Gronk.

Obviously the thread exists because of TB/Gronk, but it's basically a Bucs thread at this point ... which is fine.

That's because it's all I can find at this point. I can't post what doesn't exist.

How dare you not be talking solely about Brady's, and Gronk's, performances in practices that you did not see??!!??!!??!! I mean, you're posting information on that team as if context is something that has worth!

I wonder why the Saints keep being a Superbowl pick. They haven't done anything since 09 just choke job after choke job

12P (Basically counting RB/TE when it comes to 11-20-12 ...)
OJ never really had any luck with QB/Coach-system but he's a very good blocker. Gronk isn't the same in that dept but if he's on he's still a very blocker inline. Lots of help if Brady needs it. Lots of extra blocking if they want to run. Watson & Miller off the bench. Supposedly both have looked really good this summer. Brady sounded impressed when talking about Miller. I really think he'll love him. Godwin is the slot\big slot there but I actually think Evans goes off if Brady still it. He's so good. Really not some 50/50 specialist. So much more.

Absolutely. Mods are M.I.A.

The fact that this thread is the most active thread in the main PATRIOTS forum less than a week before the start of the season is sad - eye opening, really. It's obvious that many posters here have been bursting at the seams to put their Patriots pink hats is a drawer, so that they discuss Brady and the Buccaneers chances this year and the OP gave them their opportunity. I can almost feel them hyperventilating with excitement. It's no wonder that the Gillette crowd is one of the quietest in the league - it has been half-filled with swooning, Brady-centric fans.

I'm sure that I will check the Tampa Bay box score once per week and watch some highlights on ESPN or NFL Network but that will be the extent of it.

Training camp wasn't open to the public for the first time in forever and there has been no preseason games to even see this team in action... So its been a famine of Patriots news before the season kicks off

Brady is always going to generate media attention, and the Buccs are an exciting team this year that is bursting at the seams with talent. Many people here, including myself, love Brady for the 20 amazing years he gave us and don't have any ill-will towards him. Many here, including myself, would like to see Brady do well in Tampa and can manage to be Patriot fans while also rooting for a QB who has provided endless entertainment and joy for over half of my entire life on this planet

There is still time to delete this horrific, terrible, embarrassingly stupid, post.

I guess some people in the world truly only see the glass half empty. They guy has proven to be a strong offensive mind and has a really good defensive coach as his DC, and both sides of the ball have talent.
There’s only one coach in this league who would even think of benching a Drew Bledsoe for a guy like Brady. One. And he did.

All the dopes that have to go back 30 years to try and argue that Belichick sucks can take that noise and stuff it.
Drew got injured.... after that Bill just went with the hot hand. Most coaches would have stuck with Brady

Yeah I don't know why people think this was some sort of "wow" thing. I remember at the time the media was hyping up who Bill would choose but almost everyone assumed he would stay with Brady.

Yeah, I'd like to delete what you wrote but I can't.

Keep one thing in mind...when players play for a HC like Loose Arians, they don't give themselves up when the going gets tough and the injuries mount and that's the reason Gronky retired in the first place.

I never saw Larry Bird sulk or play less than 100% because he couldn't win a championship...but Diva Brady is a big fat yes on both counts.
