McAfee is friends with AQ and super excited to see him sign with the Bucs last year.

He is just supporting his friend, and his friend is allowing him to break the news
It's the coach/multi-year part I'm wondering about.

Classic red flag player. I'm glad that neither the Patriots nor Bucs signed him.
8 sacks?
Edit: 13 sacks, graded #25, looks like a pure pass rusher. Wirf should be able to handle

Probably signed a 2-3 year deal as an OL coach I suppose since the injury put an end to his playing career

There are no voidable years in his contract. 3 years, $12 million. Greg corrected that part in a later tweet. Succop didn’t miss a FG in the postseason if I recall and was incredible during the 8-game win streak concluding with a 52-yarder (I think?) in the SB.

Just Suh and AB left of the big names. Bucs don’t have any more cap space at the moment so will have to restructure 1 or 2 more contracts to have room for those guys and the rookies.

  • Clean extensions: Jensen, Smith
  • Muddier extensions: JPP, Marpet
  • Clean extensions/cuts: Gholston, Brates, Howard

And they could, at least in theory, work out a deal with Godwin that involved freeing up cap space for this year.

Don't forget Fournette. They are also trying to bring him back if the price is right.
Succop's done.

We're now waiting on:

Suh
AB
Playoff Lenny and/or James White

Interesting that there's no voidable years - must be some other extensions coming through that will clear up plenty of cap space

Unbelievable that they have signed all their main guys. I'd have to say that they only have enough cash for Suh. AB is gone and James white will come in to replace playoff Lenny.

Yeah, AB is Tommy's boy, they are gonna find a way to bring him back.

So basically Suh and AB and they've retained the SB roster.

They'd need Fournette, too, for that. But they're pretty much there.
Oh, duh. Is he still deciding between the Hawks and Tampa?

So basically Suh and AB and they've retained the SB roster.

They have a GM that's great at drafting and they have all of their draft picks. I can't see them losing more than 3 games next season, especially with an easy schedule. They could be historically good next season.

When’s the last time a team ran it all back the next season? 97 Broncos? 03/04 Pats really weren’t the same team so I’m not counting them.
