This looks interesting. If it works out as expected, I'm gonna lobby for Bob Kraft to install it for 2014.

Replay Technologies brings true 3D viewing to NFL games this fall | Digital Trends

It's time for the NFL to move beyond girly mon HDTV and embrace bleeding edge tech. RFID tags on the ball for positioning, laser detectors on goalposts for FG good/bad. Replay of QB helmet cams. Your ideas?

With apologies to Austin Powers:

Dr. Evil: You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have goal posts with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads! Now evidently my cycloptic colleague informs me that that cannot be done. Ah, would you remind me what I pay you people for, honestly? Throw me a bone here! What do we have?
Number Two: Seabass.
Dr. Evil: [pause] Right.
Number Two: We put a laser on Seabass.
Dr. Evil: Is he ill tempered?
Number Two: Absolutely.
Dr. Evil: Oh well, that's a start.

That actually looks pretty good sans the fake goal line glass breaking. But I will still take my in stadium 3D view over this.

Number Two: Some 3D TV trick that does nothing to help the actual game.
Dr. Evil: Commisioner is still Goddell [pause] Right.
Number Two: But it looks like the Matrix fake CGI feel and everything.
Dr. Evil: Does it show highlights with added fake cheesey graphics?
Number Two: Absolutely.

Normally you do a good job at hiding the fact that you're an octogenarian but then you have your moments like this.

Don't worry one of your great grandkids will operate the remote viewing kajigger for you.

Yeah, let's further indulge ADHD video-game mentality. :bricks: Coming soon: genuinely lifelike, virtual-reality 3-D flag football on roller skates.

I noticed that 3D TV hasn't really taken off. In fact, I believe ESPN got rid of their 3D television station.

Hey, would you look at that. 4D indeed, a play made against the Giants became a TD against the Jets.

40 years ago old fogeys were saying the same thing about instant reply. Out of the way of progress old man.

Actually it was about 46 years ago and no, everyone absolutely LOVED instant replay.

Out of the way of progress old man.
Heh, nothing I ever say or do has impeded human de-evolution one iota. The descent into virtual reality is proceeding unchecked. Matrix, here we come! :bricks:
