The panel classifies the case as Level I-Aggravated for Michigan, Stalions, Harbaugh andRobinson; Level II-Standard for Moore; and Level II-Mitigated for Partridge. The panel notesthat, pursuant to Bylaw 19.12.6.1, Michigan, Harbaugh and Moore are repeat violators. Utilizingthe NCAA membership’s current penalty guidelines, the panel prescribes the following corepenalties for the institution: four years of probation; a multi-million-dollar fine that includes futurebowl revenue distribution; and recruiting restrictions. For the involved individuals, the panelprescribes the following core penalties: an eight-year show-cause order for Stalions; a 10-yearshow-cause order for Harbaugh; a three-year show-cause order for Robinson; and a two-yearshow-cause order with specific restrictions for Moore.

That's not pocket change. Also sounds like Harbaugh is banned from college coaching until 2038, the 10 years applying after his current suspension ends... wow. His punishment being the most severe sounds like the NCAA believes the whole thing came from him. The Chargers won't do anything but I can't imagine they're happy about this news..

Some booster will make a donation to cover any lost revenue if needed. Gigantic nothingburger of a penalty

Dude smashed his phone and threw it in a pond lol. Great look.

In the Netflix documentary, Stalions discussed receiving a game ball after one ofMichigan’s victories in the fall of 2022. According to Stalions, Harbaugh awarded him the gameball for deciphering signals, with Stalions noting that he was the only person who received a gameball with their name on it. Further, Stalions said he took the game ball as Harbaugh’s way ofsaying, “[W]e see you, you're doing a good job.”

Not suspicious at all... nothing to see here. Lol

The NCAA threw the book at Harbaugh because they just do not like him and his personal belief system. The NCAA is woke on another level with letting men be NCAA national champions in girls sports. They hate that he's spoken out against mothers killing babies in the womb.

We all tried to figure out the coaches signs when we were in high school baseball. Every college team is trying to figure out signs regardless of sport.

In the era where the NCAA gave a male swimmer and championship trophy in girls swimming, where NCAA teams are buying players for millions of dollars in the transfer portal, and in this era of EPO, steroids and performance enhancing drugs which are prevalent in college football, I really can't get upset about teams trying to figure out the other team's signs.

It's a good thing Harbaugh is like one of two exciting things about the Chargers because they would need consecutive sub 5 win seasons to ever let go of him.

It’s not pocket change but Michigans athletic department made 238 million last year. They keep their wins and championship, it’s a win for Michigan.

If you are hit with a show cause penalty in the NCAA how does that work? I know it’s designed to make it much more difficult for other schools to hire you but is that the same as a suspension if you stay at your own school?

Why didn't they take the title away? Didn't they Strip USC of 1?
Good question. I was listening to College sports radio yesterday and they were discussing that then NCAA is now trying to move away from taking away wins and titles, finding other ways to penalize them. They also discussed that the programs making hundreds of million dollars like Michigan are now looking at this as ok we cheat we get fined 20 million, do not forfeit wins or championship, the schools would be saying sign me up.

Ohio State fans will be pissed. Justifiably.

NCAA came down harder on them for far less serious conduct (autographs for tattoos and cash; coaches tried to hide) a generation ago.

Connor Stallions was the Lance Armstrong of sign stealers. (No radio in helmets at the time in NCAA football.) Everyone did it, but he took it to industrial levels.

And it worked. Joe Milton made reference to it recently. Michigan gave South Carolina info on Tennessee's signals so they could lose and that would help the corrupt Wolverine program.

Michigan was favored by 7.5 over TCU in the 2021 Fiesta Bowl. The Horned Frogs won easily--they heard of Michigan stealing signs and so changed them--but then got smoked by Georgia.
