Tennessee is kind of football Siberia right now. I’m not sure what hit they’d take or if they might cut him completely but if Deion goes to the Cowboys they’re trading up and getting his kidDak's contract is untradeable.

They might save a little if they wait until 4 to make the trade lolYou have to think they have some plan to trade up to the 1 or 2 for Sheadur and hire Deion. Maybe engage the Titans with a deal of Dak and their first to Tennessee.
I’m just saying that I don’t think Deion takes the job without any kind of assurances that they’ll pick his kid. That’s all.You should really take a look at Dak's contract, it is the stuff of nightmares. $90M cap hit next year, $151M dead cap hit to cut him. He isn't going anywhere except a very expensive bench if your scenario happens
Did he? What if this was to save face for him and McCarthy? I think both sides agreed to this situation that looks like a shot show to us but they have something to gain from both.Jerry really ****ed this one up.
Ben Johnson can only go to one team, and there are lots of teams looking. It's actually good for McCarthy. I'd have had enough of that sh*t show in DAL. Jerry is a nutcase, and because of his structure as being the center of all communication - players end up emulating more of his impetuous emotional insanity than anything you try to instill from the HC position. It's a disaster. Good luck to who's next.
As for Mike - who knows which teams might jump him up to the top of the list - maybe Bears?
What I mean is that he should've done this last year as I stressed after the 2023 season when Bill Belichick became available. They were never going to win with McCarthy, so keeping him for 2024 was absolutely pointless.Did he? What if this was to save face for him and McCarthy? From what I've heard, the issue wasn't that he wanted McCarthy to take a pay cut, per se, as that he wasn't willing to guarantee multiple years to a guy on the hot seat.On a side note. What Jones did to McCarthy was real scum baggery of the first degree. Last week he denied McCarthy a chance to interview for another HC Job.
Vrabel apparently said it may take a few weeks to fill out his staff. This is especially true if he's trying to poach talent from any of the eight teams still in the playoffs.Nothing against McCarthy but this development is great news for the Pats, at least in the short term. While the Bears, Jaguars, Saints, Green Slime, and Cowboys are spinning their wheels trying to land their next HC, the Pats are ahead of them in filling out their stuff and getting prepared for the Senior Bowl (February 1) and free agency (March 12). It’s going to happen fast and with all the needs the Pats have they need every minute.
The best case scenario for Dallas would be to trade him after 6/1: that'd still be a $42M cap hit this year and $60M next year. Unfortunately for both sides, at that point his 2026 salary would be fully guaranteed, making it harder for a trade partner. You should really take a look at Dak's contract, it is the stuff of nightmares. $90M cap hit next year, $151M dead cap hit to cut him. this might put a kink into TB12's BJ plans
And they'd have no quarterback and not a great shot at getting a new one.The best case scenario for Dallas would be to trade him after 6/1: that'd still be a $42M cap hit this year and $60M next year.
