OT: Michael Sam wants another shot at the NFL

And his teammates were less than impressed with him as well

All in all, couldn't have gone much worse.

I'm thinking that he and Johnny Football ought to hang out together. They're cut from the same moral and ethical cloth.

The media did him a disservice by hyping him up. He was never a realistic candidate for the NFL.

In the media's eyes, his skill set didn't matter. They had a pro-gay agenda and were pandering to the gay demographic and he hit square in the black for each of their targets.

To my mind, the hype the media gave him about being the first openly gay NFL player was a disservice of biblical proportions. The media simply couldn't bring themselves to admit that, at best, he was practice-squad material. In the end, once he couldn't make it on the field, the media who held him up as their new and shiny thing just walked away, leaving him like a jilted bride. Alone, and not really accepting what had just happened.

Probably just trying to get back in the spotlight since his 15 minutes of fame burned out along with an otherwise not very promising NFL career. If the cameras can stay away from a close up shot of Sam making out with his boyfriend through a piece of cake this time, that would be great. That was a little much.

For what's it's worth, there were reports that the relationship ended quite some time ago. Not surprising.

He wasn't even average in a single measurable. He knew he had one shot to make it to the NFL he played the card he had and the media soaked it up. The NFL sold a lot of jerseys. Every play he made was the greatest thing ever. The fact is he was a sub par player who if he didn't come out as homosexual would have had a less memorable career than Jake Bequette. The media only cared because he is homosexual which is clearly discrimination.
