He lost his starting job to Andre Davis of all people because he struggles playing 3-4, so no... he won't be any use to us.

I don't think he would help us much. He could possibly play OLB, but his skillset doesn't fit much else. Just not worth the investment with the Pats' system.

Once again,we should just go with what we have,we need these guys to get full reps in and a lot of work as it appears they need as much play as they can get,Signing a veteran to fill a hole only covers up a wound which does not heal it and takes away experience for our young guys into the future.

This team rarily has ever signed a fairly big name in midseason and it won't this year either,its offseason signings or not at all in the BB era.

Nah kawika is white, so it doesn't count. And bills just reached an injury settlement with him. So I guess he's hurt.

Correct, but the word is he doesn't believe his injury was season ending and this is how he gets off IR.

What are the rules with this? I mean what prevents the pats from placing kaczur on IR and then reaching an injury settlement when he's healthy and then just re-signing him?

I think he can only sign with a different team. I'm not sure how it works, but Jason LaCanfora confirmed that he can sign with someone when healthy when I asked him about it.
