OT: Josh McDaniels Fired

You bring him in because the only time Mac looked good was under josh.
Except he didn’t.

Once teams figured out what he was, he was bad. Even with McDaniels.

Biggest difference between his rookie year and the last 2 years? He doesn’t have all those injured and bad teams to pad his stats.

Raiders fans over on Reddit are celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl.
Fans wanted him gone for a while. Lions players wanted Patricia gone during the 1st training camp.

Bill ain't going anywhere. Certainly not this season.

You bring him in because the only time Mac looked good was under josh.

In the off-season then you decide how to proceed.

You don’t bring an in a coach because of Mac Jones looked like he might be decent for one year under him. If you are cleaning house that cleaning includes the QB.

that they also fired Zeglier is very interest. You cannot expect results from a GM after a less than a year a half. It takes time to build a team. He still largely has Mayock’s team. A GM needs a chance.
I’m going to guess it was a trade deadline clash.

Probably tried to trade Adams for the future but Davis didn’t want to hurt ticket sales (or the other way around)

The last two drafts tell you everything you need to know. Davis is making the right choice pulling the plug before it really gets out of control.

Getting rid of Carr, who Adams had a relationship with, in favor of Jimmy G was idiotic.

Yea, had to be something like that. I doubt it was just Monday's loss, though the O did look pathetic. Only scored >20 pts once, against us (21 pts).

Completely. They were fine offensively last year. I think they had the first rushing attacks. And they were like 12th in pts/g.

Mac has 3 coordinators in 3 years.

He sucks but you're being way too dismissive for a team that needs all the help it can get.

Stop using this excuses. 3 coordinators didn’t make Mac Jones bad. He was bad before having 3 coordinators.

We don’t need help. We need to move on. We have to stop trying to bring back past guys and expect a different result. We need a new philosophy.

No kidding. Crazy.

McDaniels is a great OC, but he is just not a head coach. Some coordinators and position coaches just are not built to make it to the next level. The skill set of a coordinator and a head coach is different and he just doesn’t seem to have the make up to be a head coach.

People overstate how the offense declined down the stretch in 2021. If you look at the games down the stretch, the only games where the Patriots offense scored less than it did before the bye were against the Colts (which was a game of two halves with the first half being a disaster and second half being pretty good) and the Bills’ playoff game.

The biggest problem with the Patriots’ team down the stretch in 2021 was the defense that completely fell apart. Other than the two games mentioned, the Patriots scored about as many points as they did before the bye.

I bet Josh wished he Played against BB every week he's still undefeated against him.
