OT: Ian, any chance we can adjust how the rating buttons (likes, funny, etc.) appear?

An additional icon or two would be useful.

I like the coffee drinking guy, like at Patriots Planet.

We could also use one to signify that we appreciate a post, but the content doesn't warrant a like.

I went back and removed a like from Deus the other day. I think it was him reporting Bridgewater's injury. Hard to like reporting bad news like that, even though it was a perfectly reasonable post.
I just miss our old emoji system in general. We had so many good ones that we lost.

We are all morons for allowing technology to replace human contact. Pubs are dying out. Porn has replaced pu**y. And we worry about 'likes' from anonymous posters.

Now I have to go see if my strawberry jello is ready to eat
Haha right? At least you aren't like those fools who blame Facebook for their lack of social contact and not themselves. Nobody has a gun to your head forcing you on the internet.

Yeah, this would be nice. I'm quite sure people hit the wrong one a lot.

As long as we are doing feature requests about buttons, I'd like to also ask for a PatsPicker with buttons that work on mobile devices, pretty please! At least, it isn't working on my iPhone/Safari setup.

I'll look into modifying that script and make it Facebook-esque where it zooms before you select it as I've had the same issue, which has caused me to have to zoom before hitting it also - but generally because I have to reverse a rating. But new ratings along with new emoticons are in the plans and the new board layout is going to allow you to enable, disable, hide/show different sections also. The goal is to have it up by Tuesday, and I think I should have it done by then depending on how the weekend goes.

Ian, your commitment to this has always been amazing. Lately I've come to appreciate your productivity, as well. I cannot comprehend how you develop and maintain this site so well as a part time hobby. This is by far the best community-oriented sports site I know of, and almost all the others are commercial operations with staffs.

What used to irritate my wife when we were younger is probably appreciated now since I'm not out and about and she doesn't have to worry about me. Like I said before, some people tinker with cars or work on the house in their spare time, I do this

It is a little tougher than it used to be. As I get older it's harder to go to work all day and then come home and work on things on here. I get to 10:30pm-11pm now and have a hard time keeping my eyes open. Occasionally I can go later, but not as consistently as I used to when I was in my 20s and early 30s, although I have to get up at 5:45am now compared to 7am back then, which has made it tougher. Some nights I can do it and I'm good, but it's tough to string a few of those together and that's slowed down some of the progress here.

But good things are coming, so hopefully I'll finally get that done this weekend. I'm actually off on Monday so I think by Tuesday I should have it changed over. The goal is to always keep trying to make this place better and suggestions and requests are always appreciated. Most of what's been done over the years is due to things that have been mentioned on here, so hopefully people know that threads like these are more helpful than you think
