Why does football have to go by so dam fast..before you know it it's playoffs then the SB. I love playoff football...but dam...why does it have to go by so fast...hate it
I hate monday-tuesday after a sunday game....and when the pats lost the past few years in the playoffs..i was grumpy for 2 dam weeks. Hopefully that will change this year
Thats why I savor every win, I love the week after a win during the season. I dont get the stressing every week, especially after a win about how we suck and we're going to be one and done. I dont see how you can enjoy the season like that.
I would rather the season go by fast when our team is consistently in the running for the playoffs than being a fan of a consistently bad team like the Browns who are all but eliminated by mid November on a yearly basis and already looking to the draft months and months away.
Some of you young guys in here have never experienced of how long and torcherous a season it was like here in the early 90s when your favorite team is 1-8 and the snow hasnt even fallen yet
.....you don't want to see a season drag when you are at the bottom..I assure you that....The Rams fans are wishing it would just be over and are impatiently waiting to see their local Baseball team try and defend their title.
More high round picks probably mean a better chance at increasing your odds at a hit? No?
In the latest Holley book Belichick discusses how he feels the 2nd round is one of the poorest as far as missing on picks. By making sure that he continues to choose 2 or 3 players in that round every yr instead of 1 (like most teams), I would imagine that the likelihood of increased chances at a hit is there.
The thinking may not be for everyone, but at least you have to give him credit for trying a different approach. Not only that, but there's an awful lot of top tier talent in the 2nd round too, and it provides great value.
Now he will certainly need to make some better selections in that round, but that's an entirely different issue. I can't say that I can find fault in this approach.
As for the DB's...yes, we will continue to have a need for DB's. That is due to bad selections, players not working out, injuries, players no longer who are here, and the increased role of the pass-happy NFL. I am guessing that eventually the team can go a year or two without having to worry about the positions of safety and cornerback, although that may not happen for a couple more years. Then we can all go back to b!tching about another position of need.
This season has passed so fast, because there was not an off season and the drama associated with it.. no mini camps, no rookie camps, no speculation about offseason acquisitions etc. etc.
This season went by slow on the day of the game, because we played so many late games.. every game should be played at 1:00 PM

My most trivial reason for wanting to see the Pats win SBs: I can savor my stock of game recordings, instead of scrapping them, knowing there's a happy ending (even qtr. 4 Colts would be fun in context ).
