Yep. It was pretty low-key. For the better part of the last 40 years, I just mute the volume when the Halftime show comes on and do something else.

I remember Al Hirt at SB I cause we caught hell from our sister for being noisy when Hirt was performing. Couple of marching bands the next two Bowls and then it started getting busier after that.

Note: with the sound quality of 1960's TV's I can guarantee our sister wasn't missing much lol

I don't really follow or care about soccer but it seems to me that soccer, more than any other sport, would be impacted by a longer halftime. The players, most of whom play the whole game, would benefit disproportionally from a longer break moreso than other sports.
