OT: For Boston, for Boston! (BC 2024 season)

Clemson's not really an ACC favorite - that QB Klubnick is still complete garbage. Defense is pretty good, but Dabo Swinney doesn't believe in the transfer portal, which is why they get run by real teams the last few years. Georgia is on one of the best college runs I've seen in a long, long time, the fact that they got screwed out of the playoff last year (everyone crying about Florida St, when it was Georgia who got absolutely hosed, by one last-second loss) - so them putting it on Clemson should have been a surprise to no one.

You're right that they'd be middle of the pack in the SEC - but the SEC is incredibly top-heavy. It's Georgia, Bama, LSU and Texas (and I *guess* Ole Miss, although they'll have to prove that they're not seriously overranked), and the rest are just, regular college programs. The aura of the SEC has really worn off. Look what Miami did to Florida in the swamp last week, and they called the dogs off in the 4th quarter.

Miami's actually good - and having a QB that doesn't Mac-Jones-it-up is going to make a huge difference. Their offensive line, I would swap man-for-man for the Patriots right now, and it's all freshmen and sophomores. Will they choke to an Georgia Tech again? History says they probably will, but there's real talent out there, maybe enough to overcome a brain-dead head coach.

And I expect them to get stomped by Georgia. I expect everyone to get stomped by Georgia.
It was FSU and they lost, and Clemson and they lost as consensus top 2 teams in that conference. Now the odds are on Miami. UF has widely been regarded as amongst the near bottom group entering this season in the SEC. Haven’t seen any buzz and they are among the group of Vandy, Miss State, South Carolina, and Arkansas..aka not a top 10 SEC team. Yes the SEC isn’t the be all, but could say any conference is top heavy. Big Ten has 2 or maybe 3 if lenient actual national title contenders but heck Big 12 has zero.

Assume you are referring to when these Miami OL are of age/as a projection? Not really sure what was meant there, assume it wasn’t right this second.

Anyways the playoff format should be pretty interesting and the 1 game series nature of football should throw in some wrinkles

Meanwhile in Florida....

A) If he does/did it, I don't want to see it
B) He deleted ALL his internet accounts, so something tells me he is going to renege. Even SVP on ESPN called him out.

I am going to make a similar promise myself. Everyone ready? OK here we go...

If the New England Patriots lose this Sunday, I will eat angel hair pasta and meatballs for dinner Sunday night, probably with a glass of cabernet and some garlic bread. LMK if you want me to post a video online.....
I double dog dare you !!!

Oh no, I mean I'd take all 5 of them right now. Miami and Georgia are 1, 2 in terms of offensive line in the country. It's rare and fun when you see phenomenal offensive lines at the college level, really fun to watch them work.

Great for BC and Shame on FSU. It was a great game but BC had no business being in realistic striking distance in the 4th, forget even beating them. Frankly it's a wonder there are ever any upsets that that in college. The disparity of talent is huge between true football factories and lower even D1 schools.

The only thing that probably makes it possible are immature ****y kids making lots of mental mistakes or going on a bender the might before…

…Or taking BC & the points…

I don't think BOB left on the best of terms. He took the OC job at Ohio State before the HC job at BC. BOB was obviously getting out of town for any job.
If BOB had only played the office politics game better at Patriot Place.
Mayo playing to Kraft's ego and calling him Thunder in public is next level ass-kissing and clearly elevated the LB coach over boring BOB and all those overrated credentials like HC/OC.

Beat Mizzou next week and I can’t see how they’re not ranked after beating 2 ranked teams on the road. Maybe something special is happening here…

They may sneak in to the rankings this week if they’re lucky.

Take out another top 10 team and they’re going to be hard to ignore. They’re playing solid football.

That pick late in the first half was a killer.

They comfortably covered the 16.5 pt spread at least- nice. Hard to say if it’s enough to stay ranked- maybe? Not the best day for the OL . Only 50ish yards rushing today. Hard to win against a top 10 team like that.

No shame in losing on the road to an excellent team like that. They can hold their heads high and rebound next week.

The Michigan State-BC game Sept 21 in Chesnut Hill should be entertaining.
It’s at 8:00. I’ll be there. Hotel that night in Framingham.

It’s going to be a good game. Evenly matched teams with first year coaches. Jonathan Smith and his DC Joe Rossi have been a huge improvement over their predecessors with the Spartans. Huge.

Didn’t sound like a pretty win, but a W is a W. I don’t think anyone expected them to be 4-1 and competitive in their one loss.
