Congrats! Babies are such a blessing! Get ready for the ride of your life! A little sleepless at first, but totally worth it!

just missed that extra tax deduction by a couple of days

but... CONGRATS!
Oh god I know. I told him after he was born he owes me $1000. Not to mention my deductible resetting on the first.

Your life is forever changed, but in an amazing way. My wife had my daughter 6 years ago and she is the best thing that ever happened to me, even better than Vinatieri's kick to win the SB or Butler's interception (imagine that!) You'll become more protective of him then Belichick is on fumbling the ball. All the best to you and your family

I know you will do the right thing and raise him as a Pats fan Ross.
He will be indoctrinated into the Patriots brotherhood from day 1, don't worry about a thing

Funny thing is, I live in Pennsylvania and he was born in Scranton's Moses Taylor Hospital, yet the doctor who delivered him was inexplicably from Mass and a big Pats fan. I knew this because I was wearing a Pats hoodie to delivery and he told me all about it. Go figure!

Gratz on your new bundle of Joy Ross....

Time to start honing your parenting skills !

Watching your wife deliver a child or two or three ..makes you appreciate what they go through even more...
Enjoy parenthood, ups and downs and every stage is fun/challenging/interesting/enjoyful/stressful all wrapped in one....

Enjoy it until he starts walking and talking and perhaps has a sibling...all down hill from there

Well, that's a Twist in the right direction.

Congratulations. Wishing him a long life of health and happiness.

Congratulations and health, happiness and Patriot Super Bowl victories to all three of you! This should be one of the best days of your life.

I guarantee he will be a lot less colicky than the average Patsfan on the Gameday thread.

Congrats @Ross12 and wife! May yhe Lord bless you and keep little Ollie in good health, happiness and blessings!.

Oh, and congrats on the sex.

Here's a pic of the little dude:

I thought you were going to tell us Ian adopted him. My bad.

Congratulations Ross.

Oh god I know. I told him after he was born he owes me $1000. Not to mention my deductible resetting on the first.

"The average cost of raising a child born in 2013 up until age 18 for a middle-income family in the U.S. is approximately $245,340 (or $304,480, adjusted for projected inflation), according to the latest annual “Cost of Raising A Child” report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture."

I recommend having another conversation with him with your attorney present and demand much more. Also, change the locks when he turns 18 and only allow reentry if he agrees to pay market value rent.

Oh and god bless and good luck with your little bundle of joy.

@Ross12 - There's nothing better. And having a daughter son duo is, imo, the best combo. You get to enjoy both worlds. Watching them grow and achieving new accomplishments is infinitely rewarding starting with the first word or step.

OT: During the Miami game I was watching the game with my son (10) while my daughter (12) was working on her Minecraft stuff. Floyd hits Lippett and my son shrieks and bounces from one end of the room to the other while watching Edelman (his favorite player) run it in for a TD. My wife yells "does it need to be so loud?!?" and my daughter yells back " Mom! It's the Patriots!". My wife then quickly and begrudgingly retreated back to her safespace. What a utopian moment that was.

Anyways many blessings and congratulations. I have truly enjoyed being a dad and all the work you put into fatherhood pays you back in dividends including keeping the nagging wife at bay. (not implying your wife is like that)
