OT: Colts Trying to Convert Rams Fans

If your team left why are you geographically bound at all? People will choose any team they want for the most part. People will go where their favorite non-Ram plays or because they like the uniform of a team. Good luck to the Colts in that regard. They have the most boring uniform in the NFL.

Of the ones that do want a team close to home they'll probably split between the Chiefs, Colts, Bengals, Bears and Titans all of which are reasonably close. I would think the Chiefs being in state will get the most.

Yeah.... not how it works. Maybe 25 years from now some younger fans my identify with them but you can't just go to people and be like "So your team left? Why not just be our fans? I mean, what's the difference right?"

But St. Louis didn't have a huge football fan base in the first place and LA frankly will not be a lot better.

They could become Bears fans, too. Or stay in-state and become KC fans.

at least the fans are not dumb enough to fall for this from that coked up owner. Kansas City is about the same distance too.

Same state, too.

People from St. Louis hate Kansas City, though. My old roommate is from St. Louis and a huge Rams fan and is in the process of picking up a new team. I asked why not Kansas City and he said it's the midwestern equivalent of someone from Boston rooting for a New York team. He's going to have a day near the draft where he picks the hat of the team he's decided on.

I suspect he's leaning Cardinals, though he may just stick with the Rams (though he hates Kroenke). The Cardinals are the one team in the NFC West that Rams fans don't seem to hate, especially since the Cardinals were in St. Louis a long time ago. Would allow him to still hate the Seahawks and 49ers, and now the Rams. Similar to how most Patriots fans would probably become Bills fans if the Patriots ever moved, as they almost did years ago. Bengals are another possibility.

The Colts are like Lionel Hutz in that Simpsons episode where he chases around every ambulance he hears and every critically injured man on a stretcher that he sees.

That's pretty low. Even for Irsay. If I were jilted Rams fans, I would either stop watching the league or begin rooting for the Dolphins. At least their owner didn't vote for the L.A. move.

A friend of mine married a Bill's fan about two years ago and now he roots for them when they aren't playing the Pats to keep peace in the house. It's a completely miserable experience for him as they blow games they should win doing stupid crap week after week. I don't think I'd put myself through that.

Thirty owners voted for the move. Two mentioned in this thread that voted against. My guess would be the two anti votes came from Spanos and Davis, no? And why couldn't Kraft get a group on his side and use it to get his money and picks back????

Because he is a giant ****y who has come nowhere close to atoning for the most gutless decision in the history of New England sports. Every time I see rollover Bob, I still cringe, and I am disappointed that some people ate up his staged apology and "regret" statement. Bob Kraft did some great things in New England, but his true colors have bled to make a permanent stain on the franchise. If anyone ever falsely accused my employee a maliciously dragged their reputation through the mud in such a disgusting fashion, there would be a great price to pay. Bob Kraft is a man of tragic pragmatism.
