The Jags did this up until last year as well. Now the question becomes: Will they drop a banner to celebrate this momentous occasion for the franchise?

Or the Suck for with Luck T-shirt.

Many sports teams do this ... it's not new. People are busy and can afford X amount of games and
do not want a season ticket package where they have to worry about selling some of the tickets.

5 out of 8 huh....

Still a higher fraction than the number of possible players they could have had in punt protection....

The newest strategy is to put tickets into specially marked Cracker Jacks boxes... you can be a winner, or a loser.

This is the future of the NFL. If you are winning, people will still want to enjoy a stadium experience but when you are losing nobody cares anymore. I've been a football fan for 60+ years and a former Pats season ticket holder. But do I want to spend $125 for a crappy seat, spend $50 parking, $20 for a hot dog and a beer, spend all Sunday going to and from the stadium? Not anymore. Sitting in my chair with beer in the fridge and good food at hand is the experience for me.

Football reflects society. Too damn many rules and too much surveillance.!!

Well said I dont live in NE but I used to go to all the Buffalo/NE games in Buffalo since I am close (1.5 hour)but now its just to much of a hassle with everything you mentioned above.

I now have a 120 inch projector with sunday ticket and I can watch 8 games at a time (or just the pats when they are on) With a fridge/popcorn machine and 4 leather loungers and a tablet at my side for tracking my Fantasy football wagers and any bets I have placed. And all I have to do is walk down to the re finished basement at 12:55 est.

I bought two tickets for the Lions/Pats game on Sept23rd. 50yd line, row 16 behind the Pats bench. $1000 with parking. Insanity but I paid it.

You get an additional 10% off at the Colts Shop if you bring your own bag!

I hate seeing people turn their back on life. Good seats can be had for less than $125, parking can be had for free if you're willing to walk a mile, hot dogs are bad for you and beer at $7 is not worth it. Also, getting out of the house for a day at your age is a GOOD thing. The beer/food matter is dealt with thriftily enough if you put your mind to it. Go to the games again and have a legitimate EXPERIENCE. You can vegetate in front of the tube any old time.
