These guys all playing for a contract ... I don't see it.

You need numbers to get a contract and I don't see Rex as having the cache to get these guys to all be team first type of players. In any case ... if Sanchize can't get them the ball what good are they ... we've been down that road ourselves.

Derrick Burgess was playing for a contract last year too. So was Jarvis Green and Ben Watson. Over on the Jets, Lito Sheppard was playing for a contract too since he knew the Jets weren't going to pick up his $10 million option. Bryalon Edwards was playing for a contract too since he wasn't sure if he would be a RFA or an UFA. Do I need to go on?

The biggest myth is that every player in a contract year play over their head. Many do. Many don't.

The Jets have made some good moves and I disagree with those who think they haven't improved their team but the pressure is all on them right now!

I agree with you partly.

But these are offensive players with no loyalty to the team who need numbers. Jarvis Green had enough opportunity to get numbers if he wanted them. Not so much with Watson ... but he knew even complaining would not help him. also ... Watson never was a numbers player so I don't think those are good examples.
