At the Super Bowls the scalpers are thick as flies selling tickets after a certain point when internet traffic slows down. StubHub has people working the streets too.
The Seahawks Super Bowl was the biggest screw job ever. I spoke to Pats fans who bought tickets to be picked up in Phoenix for $3000. They booked flights and hotels and cars. When they got to Phoenix the seller had no tickets. Because Seahawks fans were paying $9000 for the same ticket. The sellers gave back the money to Pats fans plus a grand and still cut a fat hog at 9K.
Day of the game this Seattle lady paid $24,000 each for 2 ticket for her and son. They were not 50 yard line either.
