Great story about a young boy with nasty brain cancer who ended up having a Boston-based doctor successfully remove the tumor, even though it was deep in the brain next to the brain stem.

Turn the page to today, the boy is doing about as well as can be expected. Just can’t drive with his seizures.

But it turns out Rex Burkhead, the star RB for the Cornhuskers at the time, was instrumental in getting the boy to be featured in the 2013 spring football game. What ensued has become the stuff of legends as young Jack Hoffman rambled 69 yards—not always going the right way—to pay dirt.

Thanks for sharing that story. It hit home so hard for me that I had some difficulty finishing, but I did.

That also reminded me that I need to go sign up for buzz for kids, though with my ugly head I'll be wearing a hat everywhere till it grows back.
