OT: Aiyuk saga ends re-signs with SF 4/$120m extension

He’s not worth that kind of money regardless, and they have the most cap space in the league.
While still a good player , just 28 yards when your the teams #1 WR isn't ideal.

California is the highest taxed state, so we can throw that excuse out. 49ers shouldn't have let Aiyuk go set his value. NE set it and Aiyuk used that number, blocked a trade to NE and elsewhere until the 49ers caved. Aiyuk used the Pats and wanted to stay in SF all along.

Aiyuk caved, not the 49ers.....the 49ers offer never changed over the last month or so.

I have been surprised during the whole Aiyuk thing that it was just accepted that he is a #1 WR. Is he really? I don't see it. If he is a #1 by someone's definition, he is not an elite one.

He’s a product of that system… good player, not worth what he’s getting paid.

The Pats have plenty of good receiving options, they don’t have the blocking yet.
I can agree with that. The tackle play has been problematic. The premise will alway be running the ball.. to set up the pass.. we've won Lombardis doing this before. For example I have said this a few times. The 2017 Jacksonville Jaguars won 12 games, Blake Bortles had 26 TD'S and is essentially the same QB as Brissett is. That formula can work.. say we get 120-to 140 from the ground game on average and 250 to 275 from the passing game..

True, but those dynasty offenses had the offensive lines to do that… this team doesn’t.

Everyone is ecstatic over the Bengals win, good enough… be prepared to crash back to Earth against the Jests and 49ers.

I'm not to sure on the Jets they lost some key guys defensively... and thier LBs look old.. teams double quinnen Williams and take him out the game... Rodgers is still a great QB future HOF.. but he's 40 and still doesn't look in sync offensively.. the Bengals had a top 5 QB.. we are playing without our best defense player in Barmore. Rham and his ability helps an offensive line.

I just mean their defense, but also keep in mind they played the best team in the NFC Sunday and are still trying to form an offensive identity.

We played the Bengals 24th ranked defense last season in points allowed. We don’t play them every week.

Oh yes of course the Jets defense is dam good. The back they faced In SF.. isn't anywhere near Mcaffre.. but like most of his career Mcaffre was injured. I personally think the eagles are the best team in NFC but that's my opinion. I know the Jets are still a good team it's going to take the offense some time.. I think we are seeing them at a good time.

Ayuk with two big dropsies was not particularly impressive.
