I think he can still be an effective Third Down Receiver.

He probably could excel playing the role the Cordarell Patterson played in 2018, but I don't think Samuel wants to be in that role. He probably wants to go to a place where he will start probably be a primary target.

Not interested. He looked very old this season.

NE is that place. If he goes elsewhere he won't be. Josh could work wonders with his skill set.. we could have defenses off balance.. just the things Josh could Scheme up with him. We haven't had an actual offense since 2021.

Past his best and not anywhere near where he was. We all know it is going to take years to rebuild, so why would you want to bring in a guy that is there just for the money and likely to be gone in two years or so. Its a NO for me

I’m guessing he probably isn’t too worried about his role as long as he’s paid like a primary target.

The more I think about it the more I think the Patriots should wait a few weeks then give SF a take it or leave it offer of Atlanta’s 3rd for Deebo. Tell them the offer goes away once free agency opens up. The fact that Deebo’s contract expires after the season makes it even more enticing, as it gives them an out and a nice chunk of cap space if they don’t want to renew him. And if they do they can work something out.

It is nothing for a reliable WR. The problem is Deebo is not the guy he used to be. He disappeared for much of the season this year. Barely worth even playing.
So, how many WR are reliable?

SF will agree in a minute and we would have a 1-year rental.

I’m fine with that. It frees them to address other issues and clears the cap space out next season. And if Deebo has a good season, which he will be highly motivated to do, they can try to re-sign him.

You want to kick me in the nuts too?

Deebo, Brown, Metcalf and McLaurin were all available smh

Can't believe we go with a dud like harry instead of explosive guys like the above.

This team is clueless when it comes to drafting wide receiver. All I know is we need to start bringing in explosive, talented guys.

Fun fact: We could’ve drafted him in 2019
Fun fact: We also could have drafted recent Super Bowl winner AJ Brown in that year's draft. Oh and even more fun fact on top of that we could have taken DK Metcalf with our second round pick but we traded that pick away to Seattle. Talk about a double FUMBLE!

Picture Brady throwing to both AJ Brown and Metcalf for the Patriots. He could have had EIGHT rings instead of 7!

We could have drafted a lot of great WR's in 2019. Harry was a huge bust. Though tbf the only WR drafted before Harry has been a disappointment and really only had one great season. Granted that WR is playing in the SB right now and is helping on an offense that needed WR help so things evened out a bit on him.

This is what gets HC's and GM's fired. That was the most important draft to keep the dynasty alive, but it was completely botched. 2017 was the first strike, 2018 was borderline strike two, but 2019 was the nail in the coffin. Aside from Harry, Williams was completely unnecessary in the 2nd round when the team was 4-5 players deep at CB. I liked Harris as a player, but he was another pointless pick as we needed "now" players.

A 5th or 6th for Deebo and 4th or 5th for Kupp sign a beast on the FA market. Like it.

Short/intermediate term WR problem solved. Go hard after one of the LTs and fill some other voids in FA especially on D. Draft the most talented players available in the Draft regardless of position (within reason).

I think I am going to be a broken record on this process, as I see it as the fastest route back to winning.
