Fun fact: We could’ve drafted him in 2019
Or D.K. Metcalf, or A.J. Brown (even if we had to move up, as we had the assets to do so). Then, the year after, we could've had Tee Higgins, or Michael Pittman Jr. But hey, we got N'Keal Harry in the 1st Round instead of Metcalf, Brown, or Samuel in the 2nd Round!!!

I’d kick a 5th to them. He’s banged up and on the decline but still a solid player. I would be intrigued by his fit in Josh’s scheme.

Assuming his contract isn’t modified in some way, the Pats would only be on the hook for around $2M in 2025 and that’s it. All the rest of his owed ~$30M is tied up in bonuses that have already been paid and will hit SF’s cap as dead money when he’s moved.

That said, because of this, he will likely be expecting a new contract by his acquiring team. Hence why the trade value is a bit less. Teams may also hold SF’s feet to the fire and just wait for them to cut him.

Didn’t this dude choke the long snapper?

Samuel missed 8 games last 3 years, Higgins 10. Going Back to 2020 Samuel has missed more games than Higgins.
How can you be yes on Deebo and no on Higgins due to injury when they have similar injury history. Higgins is also 3 years younger.
I may be wrong about Deebo. If so then no to both

I would prefer Jauan Jennings at this point: but I would do Deebo Samuel for a 5th... 6th Rounder preferably.

Pretty close on the missed games percentage wise. Deebo has played 1 more season

Tee has missed 13 games out of 83. Deebo has missed 18 out of 99.

Tee just turned 26, Deebo just turned 29.
And yet both players are still better than anything we have at WR .

5th rounder....maybe a 4th.

I would offer them a 4th, but I would go as high as Atlanta’s 3rd if push came to shove. It would address WR and free them up to focus on other needs. Plus his contract would come off the books in 2 years, which would free that money up for free agency at a good time.

I like JJ to PF2.. but my thing is if we brought him here he would have to be a number 1 option and he's not.. he's a good player, who has an offensive mastermind as HC and all pro talent around him. Jennings would be a "piece" for us.. I'll definitely take Deebo he has shown enough to convince me if he's healthy Deebo is a Jack knife.. imagine Deebo lined up in the backfield with gibby under McDaniels offense..

We tried to trade for him last season....

I guess we consider for the right price, I just think he is already on the decline and often injured. He just doesn't move the needle much but is an improvement for the Pats.... you just cant expect him to be the answer by himself.

Be it deeboo, kupp, or Jennings they would be a "piece " in the offense. We still would need to add another WR.. we need at least 2 game changers.. my confidence is low we can find that guy in the draft..

Deebo, even at this peak, wasn't a great WR, he was a great scheme touch guy....the get him the ball in space guy....he has been injured l, he is already losing a step, and Josh has had problems utilizing a guy like him ...pass.

Overweight and always hurt, no thanks.

We don't need players who used to be good.
