This could be current or all time. And these could be guys you didn't feel too terrible about losing too.
My list:
1. Philip Rivers. When he first came into the league he rubbed me the wrong way. But I changed my tune on him after he played on a torn ACL in that AFC championship game in the 07 playoffs. He's always complimentary of Brady. I guess it doesn't hurt that he's never beaten Brady either. But I digress.
2. Ed Reed. Unlike most of his coaches and teammates, I always thought Reed was the one guy I could respect in that organization. He's one of the best I ever saw at actually running with the ball after an interception. Some guys will run a few yards. But he would make it close to the end zone consistently.
3. Von Miller. He is a heck of a player. And he came out and said Tom Brady is one of the toughest QB's he ever faced. Both him and Ware said they were amazed at how Brady kept getting up after the beating he took in that 2015 AFC title game.
4. Kurt Warner. His story is remarkable in itself. But he's the one guy that hasn't remained salty about Super Bowl 36. He's acknowledged Brady's greatness. And his analysis is top notch.
5. Patrick Mahomes. Unlike Aaron Rodgers, it's hard not to like this kid. He never seems satisfied. Not arrogant. Does alot of charity work. And is the most exciting player in the league to watch. If it weren't for the dirt bag receiver on their team, I wouldn't be too devastated losing to his team.
Obviously we are all Pats fans first. But those are some guys that stuck out to me. Which opposing players and/or coaches have you had the most respect for through the years?
