It is amusing to recall all those years when not even the "exhibition" games grabbed more than my casual interest
... not to mention all that toiling in the hot sun at Bryant College.

Now ... thanks largely to the education and enthusiasm engendered by this great messageboard ...
the beginning of training camp seems as significant as kickoff in the season opener.
It won't be merely a 17-week season ... or a 21, until Miami in February ... but a real TWENTY-SIX WEEK season - beginning only one week from today!

No, I'm too distracted but I'd like some real clarity on the media's role in celebrity and sports and the public's right to know without personal attacks or macho responses. Oh, and make it a logical discussion, too. Thanks.

On second thought a replay of a not too distant Superbowl victory might heal what ails me over a nice cold one......here's to training camp one week away!

Not quite sure if i am missing a joke here but, Basketball is called that because when it was first invented, they used peach baskets. Baseball is called that i am assuming because its all about running the bases.
