On to Denver

I would LOVE to be able to turn off the sound and listen to the game on the radio. WBLM always covers Pats games. However, and this really torques me off, they have a 5 second delay and there's no way to sync the sound with the TV. Sigh.

Mostly, at my age, I'm able to tune out the broadcast crew, hear them mostly as background noise asI concentrate on the action on the field. That, and copious quantities of beer make things tolerable.

works fine at my house

Some things about Denver's D worth nothing. I have looked in to them a bit more past the top players. Looked at some tape and read some info on their fan page as well as other sites. Here are some conclusions i have come to.

CB - Obviously Talib/Harris are the best CB duo in the NFL and 2 of the top 10 guys right now. However the 3rd CB spot isn't that solid. Roby has been inconsistent and really they have no one else they really want to put there. If we are looking to pass he can be exploited at this point.

S - Ward is the bigger name but Stewart has arguably been the better player this year. Ward is a guy I would like to see them attack in the air but he is still one of their best tacklers.

Not much to say about their front 7. Just very good but if i had to say i found a weak spot it be Crick. He is out there all the time but he never seems to make a play either in the run or the pass.

Brady would take those 7.7 after he was hit 17 times in January.

I guess Dante & co wouldn't.

This, and when they do pass, they'll likely be attacking their LBs, who happen to be pretty bad in coverage. Lewis will likely have his best game of the season next week.

I would say play it just like the Baltimore game. Keep plugging away at the run and it will eventually bear fruit. The Bronco's can shut down the run when they need to. Honestly, if they play it just like last year but don't fumble the ball away, the Pats should win the game. Will be tough but if the Pats can beat Denver there would be several paths for a first round by and the 1st seed through the playoffs.

TB: "Hey bud! I hope all is well out there in the Mile High!

"P.S. Thank you so very much for fumbling last week against Tennessee. Much appreciated! As a token of my appreciation, I give you these.."

I feel like the GOAT should not have a losing record against any team....these numbers should start changing this weekend

this is a BIG game....... show everyone that thinks they are a decent defense what to fear in Foxborough!!

The thing I dread most about the Denver game next week is Nantz/Simms on CBS. Uff..
Can I get a "like" for hitting the mute button.

Lets put things in perspective, shall we?
Lets remind ourselves that Pats were losing the biggest playmakers by the game after week 10 and the OL was like Austrian army at the end of WWI.

And even at that - it took a Hightower injury, a stupid fumble, a CJ not being able to set the edge and stop Anderson&Hillman outside .. plus the OT to lose that regular season game at Mile High. (Freeny was the top D player and it was not even close - 12 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 QB hit; btw this might have something to do with “surprising“ extension)

Of course anything can happen in a game (like Bolden being our #2 receiver just 4 yds short of Gronk last year)

I am calling it Mile 54 this year .. and Im enjoying it already ..

I agree the Pats are built better this year overall, but my point still stands. This team has had alot go right for it this year (especially playing teams that were missing key players). The win against Baltimore shows they're peaking right now, but it also shows they aren't perfect. In a different stadium they likely lose a game like that.

Should they beat Denver? Probably. But I don't know if they do if they lose the turnover battle 3-0. They can't do that again and expect to win anywhere especially Mile High.

One of my coworkers is a Broncos fan...we did a jersey bet...he wears Jules if Pats win...i wear old school elway the next day....will be fun to see him in a Pats uniform hating his entire day

It's going to be a close grind it out game. Just what we thought the Ravens game was going to be. Low scoring. Bet the under.

Under 51 Pats Broncos
Patriots plus 4
titans plus 12

Chargers Raiders over 42

Their run defense is suspect.

#19 in yards per rush allowed (4.2)
#29 in yards allowed per game (127.2)
