You think Edelman, Hightower and our third is enough? Sorry, not even close. It really feels like the Patriots have a plan to free cap the shoe will drop soon.
How would people feel about trading Edelman Hightower and our third for Tua?
Is he good enough to make that kind of sacrifice?
Is he that much better than Stidham?
I believe the team and Thuney have a deadline in place to negotiate an extension. If it passes w/o a deal in place he will be traded on draft day.It really feels like the Patriots have a plan to free cap the shoe will drop soon.

And 23 sorry that wasn’t included but 23 as wellTua will be the second QB taken, at least somewhere between 1-4 picks. You think Edelman, Hightower and our third is enough? Sorry, not even close.
Yet the "Genius" had enough scratch to sign Copeland & Fat Thor? Disgraceful...
Get him in space he’s dangerous with the ball in his hands perfect for a security outlet to pick up first downs for the Chiefs.Seales-Jones is a stiff who can’t run routes, block or catch.
That is better, but still falls short. A couple of people have said Miami could swap a number of #1's to Cincinnati. I don't think Tua's injury puts him too far behind Joe Burrow. Edelman is older and Hightower will be a FA soon. Flores might be a force soon. Who Knows what BB is going to do.And 23 sorry that wasn’t included but 23 as well
No team would make that deal. Two oft injured veteran for an oft injured rookie. Not against moving Edelman and maybe Hightower but the return will be nowhere near what you are imagining. I would like to see what Stidham can do. I liked him the best of the QBs in the previous Senior Bowl. If he stinks then we can TRADE UP FOR TREVOR.It really feels like the Patriots have a plan to free cap the shoe will drop soon.

...and that's still better than our entire TE room...Seales-Jones is a stiff who can’t run routes, block or catch...

Better then no effortThat may be true, but it would still constitute a half measure.
Better then no effort
I'm certain that's what they thought about LaCosse last year. There is no reason they should not have given the same 1yr contract to Seals-Jones as KC did. Little to no risk for a player who still has untapped potential vs Lacrosse who they signed to a multi year contract for probably twice the annual salary.
I will say, the Pats hired former Browns exec Wolf just before the start of FA. Seals-Jones played for Browns last year. Perhaps Wolf knows something we don’t about the player?

If it turns out they pursued him and he chose KC, than that is different. I would feel better knowing they pursued a veteran TE to enhance the group. If he wanted to play for a star QB, fine. Pats would have offered him the opportunity to earn TE1. Chiefs had less cap money than the Pats just a couple days ago. Not sure if their desire to sign Seals-Jones motivated them to extend Watkins to free up cap space or it was just timing. Bottom line,I've never understood why folks think that a player would sign a certain contract to play for the patriots, just because he signed a contract to play for someone else.
I doubt it. It's been stated many times on this board that board members know more than BB, which is why BB screws up all the time. Don't think Wolf is any better. Listen to the board, members have won many Super BowlsThere is no reason they should not have given the same 1yr contract to Seals-Jones as KC did. The Patriots have 0% chance of extending Thuney. They want a huge hometown discountI believe the team and Thuney have a deadline in place to negotiate an extension. If it passes w/o a deal in place he will be traded on draft day.
In terms of other big salary players like High being moved your guess is as good as mine
