Can wee kick the tires on this Offensive Tackle too in FA...been an enigma in Cleveland. Maybe he comes around in a change of scenery. Former Top 10 pick.

Rather add Kupp or Dyami Brown..
Not saying they aren't better targets to pursue in general, but you're kind of making my point here. Neither of them are X receivers. Both are Z/slot receivers. Not suggesting we pursue Lazard instead of one of those guys. I'd actually like to add Lazard (or someone like him) and one of the guys you mentioned (or someone like them).

Heading into the draft, I'd like to see us add one true X receiver (which Lazard would be, albeit a low end one) and a Z receiver type to replace Bourne. Looking at the names available, the Z receiver that can also play the slot is likely to be a better player/more marquee addition. Those two and Boutte/Pop Douglas would be the top 4 on the depth chart. Polk and Baker would be #5 and #6, forced to earn more opportunity as is fair after their terrible rookie seasons. Having an actual X, even a low end one like Lazard, means you don't have to force Boutte there full time and can use him as a Z at least part time, which is what his true role should be. You can rotate where guys lineup more.

Vrabel worked with him in CLE last year so he'll have good intel. He made some comments about making a "business decision" not to play injured and then got benched the next week. Kind of an ugly comment and spurred some questions about his effort/dedication. Like I said, Vrabel would have intel.

On the field, he moved to LT after playing RT in college and has struggled some. But we need a RT too, so not a bad idea if Vrabel is ok with his intangibles. We certainly have plenty of opportunity to offer him so if he takes a prove it type deal we should be a fit for him if we want him.

What makes you think that Moore can play RT? He's taken all of 5 game snaps at the position in 4 years.

Looking at the "Total Offense" Grade is meaningless, honestly. Because their grades are so subjective.

Stanley gave up 2 sacks, 3 hits and 34 hurries including 5 hurries in 2 play-off games.. So, 2,3,29 during the regular season.

Compared to the 12 sacks, 3 hits, and 26 hurries by Dan Moore. Moore didn't allow a sack, hit, or hurry in the play-off game.

I think we both can agree that giving up 8 more hurries is better than giving up 10 more sacks.

Stanley, at this point in his career, is a better pass blocker than run blocker. He's a stopgap signing at best.

Moore is only a slight upgrade over Lowe. Moore gave up more sacks, but fewer "HITS" and takes fewer Penalties.

Maybe Marrone things he can improve on more and not on Lowe. I don't know. I know people love Maye, but not adding a true LT last year has hurt the Pats and it could be that the Pats won't be able to truly address it until 2026.
Not trying to prove that Stanley isn't a good deal better than Moore. My point is just that I think Moore is solid enough as a stop gap and I prefer his durability/dependability over Stanley's upside in that stop gap type of role. I just don't see Stanley holding up for the long haul and what the heck good is a short term stop gap if you can't count on him to be available?

It seems like Moore might be more of an improvement over Lowe than you're saying. Same way the stats might blur how big the gap between Stanley and Moore is, same could be happening here. Lowe was pretty bad last year. Moore isn't some golden ticket, but he's good enough to make LT a weakness/need are as opposed to a crippling black hole that derails the whole offense like we've had the past few years. There's some value in that. My concern with Stanley is that even though he's better than that, if/when he's out injured we're back in that same spot and we're back to having everyone else's development hurt again.

The Pats do need a true free safety who can play over the top. He is a need. And even the top safeties do not get paid that much relatively. So his price will not eat too much into the cap to prevent the Pats from signing other top free agents.
And he's only 25 yerars old.

If Lowe is waived by us at the end of Training camp, do we think that he would make an NFL 53 man roster?

Lowe is at best an end of the roster backup, a #4 OT.

I think Lowe (as I said before) is an average LT at best with another year of experience and better coaching. He's Marcus Cannon at best and that's not bad for a backup / swing tackle.

I definitely think he'd get picked up. He's only going into his age 26 season so likely still on the upswing. Great measurables and physical profile. Obviously hasn't been great, but has the starting experience. Again, PFF grades aren't everything but his pass block grade was 62nd out of 141 OTs last year. His overall grade was dragged down by being 132nd out of 141 in run blocking. Most teams would probably rather their backup be better at pass blocking than run blocking because getting your QB killed is a bigger worry.

And he spent the year playing next to what most metrics had as the worst or close to the worst LG tandem in the league (Jordan/Robinson), Ben Brown as one of the worst centers for most of the year, and Jacobs as one of the worst RTs. So there was little opportunity to help him because he was probably the 2nd best OL on the team, sad as that is. He was forced to play with way less help than someone of his caliber would in most scenarios.

The chances of him getting cut in camp seem low. He'd most likely be traded because despite the hate he gets om this board he's obviously an NFL caliber player and probably some I'd say would have a pretty hot market as a swing tackle.

If Lowe is an average LT at best, then we should celebrate and extend his contract. An average LT at best is fine for a swing OT.

Let's coach him up to be a solid inexpensive backup.

Why the heck would the Eagles trade Brown?

I mean I love NE is making these calls but I don’t see any scenario why the Eagles would trade him.

I think he's 30m traded.. never going to be that.
IMO, He's staying right where he is.

Question. Although they would never accept such a deal, if the Seahawks agreed to trade WR D.K Metcalf and CB Tariq Woolen for the #4 Pick in the 1st Round, our 3rd Round Pick from the Falcons, and a 4th Round Pick in next years Draft (or something to that effect), would you make that trade?

I would love to see them bring in OT's Jaylon Moore from SF, Jedrick Wills and possible Justin Skule from Tampa. They need competition to hopefully raise the floor or the room. I also think they need to bring in a few OGs
