Supposedly one of the reasons Luka was traded was his poor conditioning and consequently poor defense (you have to be in shape to play both ends). Tavai has issues with defense, too.The Dallas Mavericks just traded Luka Doncic for an aging/half crippled Anthony Davis. Maybe the Dallas Cowboys will trade Micah Parsons to us for Tavai.
A third? I dunno. He's right at that "lost a step" age for wide receivers.Would absolutely trade a third for him.
I hear ya, but it could also be good for the young guys on the team to see how a pro practices and prepares for the game.Wrong side of 30. Pass.
Going to need a better source on this rumor
It got me thinking though. Ricci is 28, 6'3 240 lbs. We have Bell at 6'2 241 lbs. I look at Ricci as being more of a Camp Body. If they want a real blocking FB, they have to do better.According to Masslive, Ricci has played some FB. Interesting tidbit there.
Yeah. It all depends on what they are asking. He had that one ridiculous season, but has been injured a lot in his career. He might have a solid season or two left in the tank.I hear ya, but it could also be good for the young guys on the team to see how a pro practices and prepares for the game.
OK, so would you offer in order to get Kupp and to pay him $20M a year?Yeah. It all depends on what they are asking. He had that one ridiculous season, but has been injured a lot in his career. He might have a solid season or two left in the tank.
I personally dont know anything about the guy. Nothing exciting to be sure but neither was Mike Vrabel. It got me thinking though. Ricci is 28, 6'3 240 lbs. We have Bell at 6'2 241 lbs. I look at Ricci as being more of a Camp Body. If they want a real blocking FB, they have to do better.
If they offered to pay his roster bonus for the remaining two years of his contract, I'd offer a 3rd round pick. Sound reasonable?OK, so would you offer in order to get Kupp and to pay him $20M a year?
LOL what better source are you going to demand than a tweet from the player himself?Going to need a better source on this rumor
Or that he’s trying to maximize his value, and maybe get some chance to control where he lands by doing the team a big one by trying to start a bidding warSeems to me that it is very strange to have a player publicly announce the team said they are planning to trade him. Sounds like the deal is already worked out, and they are just waiting for the proper time to announce it officially.
I’d at least kick the tires, maybe make a bid. Vrabes is trying to change the culture, trading for Kupp and proclaiming that the future is now might light a fire under some young guys in the locker room who think they have time to develop and should realize the time to perform is now. I’d be okay with bringing him in, if it meant the guys now in the WR room start worrying about cutdown day. Too many college prima donnas have never had to worry about being out of a job. Give them a wake up call. Why not trade for Kupp and also sign Tee, then don’t worry about drafting any receivers unless one falls to us late in the draft. Keep the best of Pop, Bourne, Boutte, Polk, and Baker, with best highly biased for work ethic and attitude. I’d expect that means receiver needs solved.I hear ya, but it could also be good for the young guys on the team to see how a pro practices and prepares for the game.
You don't know the difference between being AGRESSIVE and being DUMB. YOU are advocating for the JETS way of doing business. That's a proven failure for 50+ years now.
Your right on that.. I misspoke BJ hill is the guy I'm referring to as an upgrade over Godchaux. Again it's just a position like you said does not have to be all pro but solid presence in the middle.Day signed with Ten just last year. Never played for them while Vrabel was there. Also, not only would he not be a "huge upgrade" over Godchaux, he might even be a downgrade.
