Offseason: is Brady back to work yet? Moss & Brady working out?

I have not seen one mention of Brady here in So Cal. He must really be keeping out of sight. If any city will spot a celeb on the move, it is LA.

TMZ a few days ago....Giselle is holding the kid - Tommy is opening the SUV door. I won't post the link and contribute to that sorry business.

Brady has been on every gossip mag show and on every blog with Gisele holding the baby. I was also in the Globe and Hearld. Even USA Today showed the pictures of Tom and the baby since it was the first time he was photographed with his son. But the real issues with the pictures was that Gisele was holding the baby and everyone blew up at how must Bridget feel about that?!?!? Crazy life this guys leads. I am amazed he was so focused last season.

Tom is resting and that is a good thing. Last thing we need is a burnt out QB and it was obvious as the season came down to the stretch run that Tom was not himself. He looked distant and for the first time I, for one, could visibly see the pressure he was feeling.
Yeah I agree. For whatever reason or reasons, he didn't seem to be the usual fired up player I have been used to watching. I hated to see a guy who usually looks so stoked to play seem to not be as excited while playing.

I have a different view. I think Tom has sacrificed a lot more than most players and driven himself harder and more single mindedly and accomplished more with less over the last several seasons than any player in the NFL. I think we see how it wears him down mentally down the stretch. I think he needs to start taking more time for himself so he can remain a little fresher as these long seasons wind down. He's got a pretty talented crew assembled around him finally and none of them are rookies or newbies - they built a pretty damn fine rapore last season and no one is mastering a new playbook in Greek this offseason.

Thank you.

I don't know why it's anyone's damn business. Everytime I hear people passing judgement on Brady, I just role my eyes. I guess it's ok for the average joe to cheat on their wives and girlfriends but famous people are not supposed to? Famous people are not allowed to walk away from a relationship if it's not working. Only us average folk are allowed to do that. I keep hearing that Brady left Bridget after he found out that she was pregnant. How do we really know that for sure? The media keeps reporting it, but is it the truth? Were they there for every minute of that relationship? Give me a break. At least he didn't marry the girl and make a commitment that he couldn't keep.
My exhusband cheated on me not once, not twice, but MULTIPLE TIMES. You know when I found out about it? When he got one of the girls pregnant. Now somebody tell me which situation is worse.
Tom and Bridget had a relationship that did not work. None of us know why and it's none of our business. They happened to be blessed with a child. What the hell do people want him to do? Walk away and not even acknowledge his child? It's not the baby's fault. None of us know what is really going on in his life. All we know is what these SCUMBAGS in the media report. I wonder how they would feel if someone started digging around in their pathetic lives. I'll bet money that they have a few skeletons that they don't want out of their closets. Whatever happened to live and let live in this society.

I'll say one thing about Brady. He is one mentally tough SOB. I don't know if I could live my life under such a large microscope and still be as successful or as focused as he's had to be this past year. If he's using some of his time off to spend with his child, good for him. When the season starts, when will he have time to do that? None of us know if he's been at the offseason workout program or not. The Patriots don't have to report who is attending, do they? Give Brady a break. He's worked his butt off for our team for years. If he needs a little extra R&R during the offseason, so be it. It might do him a lot of good, IMO.

We do know he hasn't been with the team this offseason. He has been in LA and before that Europe. Reiss reported it as well. Not passing any judgement on it. I actually think it is a good thing. The man is now a father with a son 3000 miles away. His life and priorities have changed. If he never brings us another championship, he is still the best player the Patriots have ever had. This 6th round draft pick who takes less money than he could have demanded over the years owes us NOTHING!

Agree with you 100%, but at the same time (offseason BS where's Waldo tabloid crap aside) I don't think this kid knows how to take his foot off the accelerator when it matters or as far as prep. IMO he'll be 100%, ready to go, and as amped up as we've ever seen him come game time AND spend some much deserved time with his kid and GF.

I think Tom being out in LA is a good thing for several reasons.

First, lets remember that he probably saw his son for literally 1 or 2 days between when he was born and the Superbowl. I obviously can't say this for sure because I don't know what he did during the bye, but we would have heard if Bridget brought the baby to MA sometime during the season and she obviously did not. He needs to see this kid and since he lives and works 3000 miles away, he doesn't have a lot of flexibility except for NOW - APRIL. So good choice by Tom.

Second, the 2008/9 Patriots really have to worry about 23 other things before QB ok? They need to worry about RDE, NT, LDE, OLB, OLB, ILB, ILB, CB, CB, SS, WS, RT, LT, RG, LG, C, TE, FB, WR, WR, P, K before they need to worry about QB. So let him do what he needs to do.

Well what about KR, PR, MLB, LS, Holder, Dimeback, Nickelback, Left Gunner, Right Gunner, Tail Gunner, Left Wingback, Right Wingback, Double Wingback, H-Back, I-Back, Slot Receiver, Screen Back, Screen Blocker, Tackle Eligible, Mid-Fielder, Striker, Special Teamer, Fake Decoy and Lateral Decoy?

After reading your post I'm worried about everything. We've got Tom Brady and a bunch of Nobody's. I just pray we can outlast the Bills to take the Division. It'll be a miracle.

I agree. Good post.
I'm just sick of the tabloid coverage of every move the man makes. Let the guy live his life in peace "MEDIA" there are far more important things going on the world.
