how many times was he sacked?

Would you really be happier with 100 fewer running yards and 100 more passing yards?

If we had a QB that could connect with receivers and could release in 2.5 seconds, our OL would be up to it.

It is hard to judge pass blocking with Brissett as your QB? I'm not sure that 3.5 seconds would be enough for Brissett to be effective.

Are we even watching the same games? The dude is back there playing ****ing whodini damn near every play avoiding sacks and taking shots. The OL pass protection doesnt allow time for anything to develop. Yes, they are better at the run but I can also give credit to some rb’s balling out and forcing missed tackles at a high clip in the first 2 wks. Over 40 of those yards today were on a Gibson run where he was hit 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage but made an incredible play.

Somehow our OL managed to be even worse in pass blocking against Seattle than against Cincy. McDonald was smart and knew Onwenu would struggle against speed rushers and the left side is -- well -- it's the left side.

Gotta disagree. I think it's clear enough to see that the pass blocking is poor. If it was better the passing game would obviously be more effective which would benefit the run game as well, not take away from it, as opposing D would have to play more balanced.

Exactly. He was pressured quickly and often. Our o-lines pass blocking was dog ****.

I totally agree, but the part that mystifies me about the talk this last week is where we won one game and lost today and suddenly a lot of people feel we have to play Maye to keep our playoff hopes alive.

I’m fine starting Maye if he’s ready. But he’s going to be a rookie and make a lot of mistakes. If people are assuming he’s going to step in and just do better than Brissett because he can throw farther, it’s going to be a looong season.
The word is out Brissett can't throw or don't trust his arm past Ten yards. I am sure our future opponents will take Henry away. What will Brissett do then??

Good points.

This Offense needs a QB who can run somewhat Run efficiently and look past his first read. It's inexcusable that Pop Douglas is invisible on Offense I knew a guy like Thornton would suffer with a QB like Brissett. WR's Targets is pretty pathetic and telling.

I thought Pop Douglas was supposed to be our quick twitch get open quickly WR. Why so little Targets to a player like him who would help this pathetic OL?? AVP is beginning to annoy me a little with his play calls. IF Douglas is quiet again next game I expect to hear some chirping from our WRs. Seems like they are being held back by our one read QB who doesn't throw well outside the numbers.

Growing pains. I'm encouraged by the last two games! They hung in there into overtime with minimal offense. couple mistakes cleaned up, even one, and they win. And they haven't even rolled out Drake Maye yet.

I understand what you are seeing. If I don't say that, the responses will be, "Are we watching the same game?".

What I wish we were seeing is a 3 step drop and a quick release from our QB. Don't think I saw one 3 step drop in the whole game.

How about more than 2 passes to the WRs? Douglas can't run a slant for a quick release pass? Douglas has zero catches through two games. Douglas is a bust in year two or is there something wrong with our QB?

We tried one screen pass all game? If the pass rush is so fierce, where are the screen passes?

The OL pass blocking leaves a lot to be desired. Having said that, Brissett is extremely limited with only one approach. Drop back, wait for 3 seconds, dodge pass rushers, and scramble right. Too bad our offensive play book is so limited.

There are lots of ways to help the OL in passing situations, but we can't seem to do any of them. Is it Brissett or AVP?

Brissett telegraphs his passes he doesn't look anybody off which shows he cannot Read Defenses. He's making our WRs look bad with his tendency not to throw to them.

Just watched the sack that JB took before the blocked FG and he had plenty of time to throw it anywhere. Rham was in flat it was covered but JB should have tossed it that way so it wasn't intentional grounding. It was completely on JB.

I would argue that it's on AVP for calling a passing play instead of a run which would have, even if we ran for no gain, at least kept us in FG range.

why didn't we run any play action? i feel like we could have done that a little no?
Every time they did a DL was on Brissett before he turned around from the fake. So they abandoned it for that reason. It's why one of the Gibson delay runs late worked so well, the entire Seahawks front thought it was a fake and went toward the QB.

Team game. Sometimes it was the QB, but other times it wasn't. This team isn't magically fixed with one change. Maye does bring solutions to some issues, but presents others - and NFL coaches will expose them just like they do with Brissett.

Pats should be 2-0 which is a good sign.

Silver pants should be mandatory at home. It looks way better than the pajama look. I’d even like to see the silver pants as road alternates.

White continues to rack up sacks.

OL is what it is in the passing game.

Where the fuk is Javon Baker? He talks a bunch or **** in the offseason, but can’t even get on the field.
Agreed. Thornton I don't even think had a target. Baker in there for at least 1 deep attempt could have been done. The line as we talk about everyday is the hindrance. Whenever they do hold up seems Brissett can't hit anyone outside yards of the LOS. However positives are we are playing with house Money. Ravens are 0-2 , cincy is 0-2...

Defense was missing Bentley big time. Seems like when he went out grubbs attacked the middle alot. Glad to mayo mention the passing game needs to be much better. KB is available week 4.. someone needs to sit. Who do you think it will be?

One could argue that. However for a veteran JB should not have taken that sack on 3rd and 1.. throw it away.

The hawks went up tempo becuase our rush was pressuring geno.. you would think AVP would have did the same thing.
