Quick turnaround the play the Jetes. Sigh, this one would have been easily won with better QB play. Was this better than Mac? Of course, there weren't mind numbing INTs etc, but not good enough to win in the NFL.
Brisett is very much like Corky Mac 2023.

Afraid to commit a mistake and hesitant to throw the ball resorting to dink and dunk. JB found his BFF in Henry Hunter. The Pats offense allowed the Seahawks to hang around when you've got be aggressive and put the game out of reach. JB does not drive the ball downfield, so its amazing that the Pats were so successful running the ball.

AVP needs to open the playbook up with something different.

Can someone explain why this team has had almost no game-breakers on either side of the ball since Brady left? I mean I look at a team like Pittsburgh, someone who hasn’t won a playoff game in 8 years, and they have Watt, Pickens and Fitzpatrick. Players that the other team has to be aware of. How do we have nothing? Is it all just BB and bad drafting? Whiffed FA signings? Player development?

Pats Seahawks are always entertaining games. Maybe we’ll see them again sometime in the future for an XLIX rematch.

To be fair, White looks like a stud and Barmore is an unfortunate medical situation

Yes that would be the former HC/GM’s domain.

This is the Patriots team I think most of us expected to see. A defense that is good but just not good enough and an offense without the horses to run away. The team has some fight in them which is great to see. They made a competitive game out of it but the talent just isnt there. Throw in a rookie coaching staff at all 3 of the top positions and its surprising the team has played as competitively as they have. If they keep this up, I’ll have high hopes for the future.

Belichick drafted awful character guys instead of legit skill position guys. He’s always done that and he slayed had Brady to make those guys look better than they were.

This team is and has recently been built to play late 80s smash mouth football in a league where that’s absolutely useless

Same **** we’ve seen the last few years:

- horrible o-line
- mediocre WR’s who can’t separate quickly
- bad QB play, in part because of the bad o-line and lack of talent at WR

It’s all a ****ty cycle. They need to bring in actual NFL quality tackles. Isn’t gonna happen in season so unfortunately we’ll be watching this crap another 15 games.

This. He cratered this roster all by himself, nobody else.

The "vet QB" argument goes away when you think a 3rd overall pick couldn't also go 7/18 76yds in 3 quarters.
Sure, he may have forced it and thrown an INT along the way...
But I'd bet that he'd also step up and hit a few WR's in the game too.

I know Maye won't play this week. But if JB is as impotent as he was this week, and we lose.
They might start thinking about it for the 10 day break - at least boost his reps and prep for Dolphins week 5.

No way I’m going to Maye next game. Short week against a very good JETE defense in NY. Let Jacoby take the beating.

I always thought week 5 would be a good time for him. Over the first 4 game gauntlet and Brady calling it in the booth…

Re MHJ you think Jacoby would look for him based on what we’ve seen so far? I don’t.

It looked like JB was grabbing his calves after one failed 3rd down and then grabbing his shoulder on another failed 3rd down.

Very few people argued play the vet QB because he’ll give you a better shot at winning. They argued play the vet QB so your shiny new QB isn’t writhing on the turf in pain after taking a hit your terrible oline couldn’t stop.
