It's always a combination of factors.
1 - Defenses know how to adjust to defend a teams' strength
2 - JB looked okay in week 1 when run game was dominant, and 1st half of week 2 - but SEA D saw what he can't do and forced that
3 - JB can't look to his left or 2nd read AND has a bad OL - inept for an intermediate pass-game plan... which is necessary for a bad OL.
4 - Lowe is not much better than last year. Onwenu is not athletic enough to be a great tackle.
5 - No WR threat to scare D. Most could okay, but need help.
They need to start using those Tackles they picked up at the deadline Lowe gives them no other choice. Lowe should not be a Starting LT.

Disagree with the WR part: match Pop Dougals and Tyquan with a QB who's complete and you'll see. I know Tyquan was going to suffer with a weak armed QB like Brissett. Put Drake Maye in and it's a completely different group night and day.
Brissett is not weak-armed. His issue is accuracy and anticipation....plus he is getting killed.

Pop is a chain-mover. Tyquan is a bottom of the roster player who is a one-trick pony (but improving)

I know it's early but could the running game be coming back? I wouldn't mind seeing the Pats go all John Riggins Redskins on the NYFL.
I think you can say that.. the run game is still important. I think we are proving that each week. I love what rham and gibby bring to the ground game.

When Bentley went out the commination suffered. Seattle began attacking the middle of the field. I hope Bentley will be ok we need him.

My fear is what happens when one of the top 3 cb go down with an injury and we are relying heavily on marco wilson. Is he really better than alex Austin? Austin i thought did ok last year, hopefully he gets a chance at cb4

How do you explain three passes to WR's in a full game??

Pop not getting any targets is weird. He was uncoverable during training camp, and was a favorite target of QBs during TC.

Well.. according to wozzy and some others Marco Wilson was supposed to be this great CB.. I'm still waiting to see it. Austin just needs playing time the kid can play. I love Marcus jones.. but he's undersized..

Maye will be in there by Veterans Day.
I hope after next week I think the Jets keep Brissett under a 100yds. I would love to see what Mayo and AVP do after that.

Play-Calling - Scheme and QB.

He's not in over his head, he's been an OC for years, tons of experience. He's done a good job developing the run game. But it does make me pine for Josh tbh. Why Pop is not getting the ball is beyond me, he's our primary matchup advantage.

And Pop was open repeatedly. AVP has never called the offensive plays in Cleveland. Stefanski always did that. Tons of lower level experience. Watching others do something and doing it yourself are not the same.

how many times was he sacked?

Would you really be happier with 100 fewer running yards and 100 more passing yards?

If we had a QB that could connect with receivers and could release in 2.5 seconds, our OL would be up to it.

It is hard to judge pass blocking with Brissett as your QB? I'm not sure that 3.5 seconds would be enough for Brissett to be effective.
==========
Pretty sure that guys on the roster and the backup right now.

I think you must trust your subordinates, giving them sufficient freedom that you can evaluate the quality of their work and their ability to work without constant supervision. That's the way i approached things when I was a department head anyway. Hire good people, let 'em work. If they require undue supervison, get rid of them and hire someone who can work without constant monitoring.

Constant monitoring is not required. Stepping in and helping with major game altering decisions is required.

No time to pass because of the OLine, no passes to WR's. It's as simple as that. Also AVP isn't an innovative OC.
I would kill to get a guy from the Shanahan - McVay Offensive Scheme.

Hard to say AVP isn't innovation his offense is from the Shanahan scheme... that's a farce... the OL is the problem and the limitations on the QB..

Flacco still had a better arm
Watson had better arm.. when Drake gets in ppl will see...

Anyone else notice that Brissett have a long wind up and he locks on no wonder he doesn't throw anything past Ten yards.
