JJ Taylor needs to keep his eyes scanning and not get horseblinders. On the 1 goal line play, all the Eagles defenders crashed down onto the lead blocker (J. Johnson?) and Taylor followed him and got swallowed up. Had he been paying attention, a bounce outside to the right and he had the end zone with ease. Kinda like Stevenson in the 2nd.

still going on about LAST year. 8-9 and ALL the passes were on target. WTF man,
Cam actually managed to deliver the ball to a few open receivers against a backup defense. About time.

1. Stevenson, Mac, Cam, all played great. Good signs.
2. #8 Ja'Whaun Bentley played terrible, this is a case where tackle numbers lie. This guy is a major liability, he can't cover anyone and is a massive weak link when he's on the field.
3. The kicker Nordin blew it, he's done for.
4. Michel isn't bad. Probably has life as a 3rd/4th RB here. Wasn't worth a 1st but he can help the team if he stays.
Gostkowski had the yips his rookie season, so I don't know.

I did like that Nordin did make his last couple of kicks. That’s a good sign.

We’ve been so fortunate to only have had two kickers for about 20 years even though I *****ed and moaned about Gostkowski as much as anyone.

Right Ken…just to clarify, last year:

1. The games we refer to actually counted and weren’t well organized scrimmages.
2. The opposing defenses played their starting lineups against the Patriots starting offense.

Those two things didn’t happen in this preseason match against the Eagles. But hey, let’s embellish a 9-attempt performance against backups because it suits your agenda. Cam is suddenly sharper, quicker, more accurate…those nine attempts against an uneven playing field tell us so much more than his ten seasons as a pro, full season last year with the team, and hundreds of other passes in training camp, along with the ones he threw in last week’s preseason game.

Do you honestly think what you saw was a full transformation that will be permanent?

Did Anfernee Jennings play and if so how well?

Both QB's looked good however I really appreciate how comfortable Mac feels.on the field. He doesn't fear of throwing deep passes and doesn't panic during blitzes. I believe we have found our franchise QB.
The richness of RB corp is amazing. White, Sony, Stevenson, Harris and Taylor did their job. I am affraid roster is to tight to take all of them for the board. Maybe trading Sony is not a bad idea.

RB 's are looking good , note that Bolden has not played in both pre-season games.

Maybe some people here including me believed too quickly we have got a superstar as a kicker. But relax, kid definitely has got potential and showed he could kick. I am far away from crossing him off.

Posting some random tweet when the guy doesn't know what the blocking assignments are is just silly. It actually looks like WYNN didn't drop deep enough before he started going towards the outside of the formation.

Harry looks like he's supposed to take on #75 and mirrors 75 as he comes across the line. At no point does it look like Harry is supposed to go to the 2nd level and engage the LB. That being said, we don't know the specific blocking assignments so it could have easily been Harry screwing up..
I didn’t see the play live, but it looks like a sweep? If so, that’s probably on Harry.

Not that we should read a ton into preseason games but the Eagles didn't play most of their starters last night. Cam looked okay...against mostly second string guys. So people talking about "a near-perfect night" are just pumping his tires. This also goes for Mac and his solid performance against even more scrubinis.

Harry in a sling after the game. His preseason, and probably his career with the Patriots, is over.

Holy ****stick, can you imagine having to listen to Ross Tucker each week. He makes me miss Dan Fouts…

Princeton's finest!

He’s the reason I stopped listening to the Opening Drive on my way in to work in the mornings. Then I heard they replaced him. I gave it another try. Unfortunately, they replaced him with Weis. In between the incoherent thoughts, constant mouth breathing, the sucking of the spit in from the corners of his mouth, and yelling at callers, I couldn’t take him either. But he’s preferable to Tucker. What a douche he is.
