If Maye isn’t going to start like he should then he needs reps now, who cares if it is a little wet. He needs way more than 1 series, why’d they play him at all, it’s wet and a preseason game.if that’s a reason he shouldn’t have played at all then,Sheesh
They’re not looking at QB, they’re looking at the rest of the team. They just want Zappe to drive so they don’t have to worry about Brissett or Maye getting injured. They don’t need to see them play, they already know what they’ve got with the two of them.
The only use i can see for zappe is you can sneak him onto the ps and hold him in case brissett gets hurt and the rookies still aren’t ready to start. I really don’t see why he would get so many reps in a preseason game though imo Milton should be getting max reps if you don’t want maye in there
