Game Day Thread Official Pregame Thread Bills @ Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Hopefully they're being cautious with Rham. I think he'll have to be active on Sun, but I wouldn't be surprised if Harris plays the whole first half (presuming his hammy holds up).
I'm also interested to see Wilkerson in Bourne's role (presuming Bourne can't clear testing in time)
I'd like to see Gunner get some serious reps too and see if he can provide something. JE didn't breakout till his 5th year, so Gunner still has time at the end of his 3rd. In the same vein, maybe JJ can offer a different spark. I think we need to see new/unexpected things on O this time of year to prepare for playoffs.
But this is a game I really want to see Meyers and Henry (and Smith) impose their will. No excuses. Just show that you're the better guy!

Giving serious reps to Gunner and JJ to see if they provide something or a spark is not my approach. I prefer to keep the same players used all season if possible. Gunner and JJ only see the field if the starters are injured or on COVID.

That approach, evaluation, is how to build a team, not how to use a team in season. If they're on the field it's for depth reasons at this point in the year unless they have worked their way up the depth chart via practice which isn't the case in this circumstance.

Anyone know what Deion Branch is doing Sunday...hell if Joe Johnson can suit up and get a friggin iso-bucket for the Cs last night anything is possible.

Bills conducting a walk through practice today means they are not practicing again this week…so they are essentially taking tomorrow off for Christmas and then Saturday they travel to NE.

Agree. The coaching staff evaluated the players and puts the best ones on the field. They do a good job of it. Playing a guy who hasn’t earned the role to “see what he can do” is a bad idea.

The tweet says the walkthrough was on Wednesday, not today.

Unless they are practicing tomorrow, I tend to doubt they would do one day of real practice. But who knows?

Mac's in big trouble Sunday without Agolhor and Bourne, big!
Nada

Agohlor drops a lot of tamales for one.

Agohlor and Bourne combined account for approximately 10 targets per game. 9 games this season, Agholar has seen 5 targets or less. Nelson Agholor Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com Bourne has seen 5 targets or less through 10 games. Kendrick Bourne Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Approximately 10 targets is not that large a deficit to fill with Meyers (102 targets), Hendry (71% catch rate), Bolden (90% catch rate), Smith and we will likely see Wilkerson or Nixon.

Gunner looked quick at least but has drops. I feel he has potential to be the elusive route runner. Harry looked super slow . Wilkerson and Nixon were okay.

Gunner should go to some pass catching and route running clinic in off-season . He has the intangibles. Just need to convert it on the field. Is gunner our next slater?? I really doubt that . I don't see how bill can just have a player specializing in punt returns unless he is all pro year on year.

Belichick keeps Slater and Justin Bethel solely for their ST abilities, Gunner is a PR/KR, and back up WR. He isn’t going anywhere.
