I found these BB comments on Wilkerson notable in light of WR situation:
"Wilk’s really improved in every area of the game," he said. "First of all, overall, just the maturity and professionalism. Just the way he prepares, trains, takes care of himself, is ready to go every day. He’s very dependable when he walks in the building. You know what you’re going to get from him. As a receiver and a blocker, he’s improved in his route running, his blocking, all things that go into being a receiver, catching the ball. He consistently shows up in practice. A guy we have trouble covering."

This is really the biggest game weve played in years. A loss can actually put us in slight danger of missing playoffs altogether ( would take a lot of unlikely events /scenarios but still possible), and a win combined with the chiefs potentially not having hill or kelce Sunday could put us back in the 1 spot.

This is basically the season. A win is huge and so is a loss.

Gunner with no sleeves and no gloves and of course no catch...he dropped the pass, in which I am pretty confident I could have caught....doesn't give the coaches much confidence inserting him in at wide receiver if we had to....ugh

He took his eyes off the ball.

Wha? They lose this and win the next 2 they finish 11-6.

Hardly the season.
Ok, maybe not the season. But it’s a critical game. It shows a lot about how good - or not - they are. If they can’t beat them - and they should - we might be looking at a one and done.

Maybe you could send him a greeting card for encouragement ;)

Its big indeed, but ya never know. In 2018 heading into the final 2 games we were coming off brutal losses to miami and pitt, we looked finished. Just get to the tourny and anything can happen. Definitely think a bye gives us the best shot though so losing sunday would be a massive hit

Gunner looked quick at least but has drops. I feel he has potential to be the elusive route runner. Harry looked super slow . Wilkerson and Nixon were okay.

Gunner should go to some pass catching and route running clinic in off-season . He has the intangibles. Just need to convert it on the field. Is gunner our next slater?? I really doubt that . I don't see how bill can just have a player specializing in punt returns unless he is all pro year on year.

That is very interesting. I'd certainly be curious to see what Wilkerson's got. Imagine if they put up significant passing yards primarily through N'Keal Harry and Kristian Wilkerson...

Well I’m still hoping for Bourne but interesting to see they have trouble covering Wilks in practice.

Wilkerson was good early in camp, then suffered through a case of the dropsies and he never recovered. Hoping that if he gets a chance, he makes the most of it. It would come in the biggest of spots as well.

Yep, it’s time to see - again - what he has to offer us… The Clots defense figured out our running game last week, and I’m sure other teams like the Billdos will copy from that same blueprint… Hoping that JJ brings some much-needed juice to the offensive backfield on Sunday, because we’re gonna need it…
We ran 19 for 81. They didn’t figure out the running game, a blocked punt, 2 Ints and a 20-0 deficit caused us to go away from it.

Gunner was an All Pro ST player a year ago, and Belichick loves All Pro ST players, I don’t see any way Gunner gets cut.
I don’t think winning the award enters into Belichicks decision making band gunner hasn’t been an all pro punt returner this year.
Not that im saying cut him but a one year award vote isn’t the reason.

He caught his 2nd one in the video. There's hope for him yet!

Sad to think that during last year's Bills games, Jakobi had 42% of the receptions (10 over 2 games).

Didn't I read on this forum that he's been nursing an injury?
