Payton is really managing Nix. I don’t see that as sustainable in the playoffs. People like to think Allen has been bad in the playoffs, and that is so far from the truth. I can’t imagine a Nix lead team beating an Allen lead team in January, regardless of the strength of the rest of the team.
I don't think if Allen was down 21 to either Denver or Houston: he could lead them back against those Defenses.

Our defense is good but we don't have the elements that Houston and Denver do.. demon, relentless pass rush...

You really think Buffalo goes down 21 in the playoffs against either of those teams?
I don’t. I’ve been wrong before.

5 consecutive scoring drives... pathetic... that right there is really what bothers me more than anything else..

4 on short fields.
Kick coverage was absolutely putrid. If you can't cover kicks, just kick the ball out of the end zone. It's not worth potentially 5 yards of field position by a well-covered kick,

Absolutely killed them.

Absolutely agree here.. giving Josh Allen the ball at the 50 may as well just put 6 on the score board.. sneakily our kick coverages have been suspect all season our return abilities have been top 5..

Also we play so much soft coverages in the red zone it's a big reason why we are at the bottom in red zone defense..

That was definitely the start of it all.
I remember thinking just come out after halftime and set the tone…..then huge return. Our coverage was an abomination.

Two of their top five best defensive players, really. I’d put Milton at #1, probably Barmore at #2. Gonzo has not really been himself but he still slots in at #3, and then Spillane would end up being the fourth guy. Fifth is probably a tie between Landry and Jones.

So realistically, they were missing those two guys and Landry was also banged up, and it seemed like Jones was also dealing with something based on his gait.

Hopefully the Jets and Dolphins will be playing for draft position in the final two weeks, allowing the offense to put them away early and letting Vrabel give these guys a little rest in the second halves.
Gonzalez is our best defensive player unquestionably. He has been fine. The fact that we don’t play 100% man doesn’t indicate anything about his play, it just means we aren’t playing the scheme you want us to. He has been excellent. He is giving up a 46.8% completion rate for only 296 yards all season in 415 coverage snaps. 2.6 completions allowed per game for 27 yards.

I actually think Williams has needs a disappointment as a pass rusher. He’s been invisible a lot

Unpack your sense of humor it helps put things in perspective
I didn’t see humor in responding to a post that didn’t me type you with “why are you directing this at me”. Must some new kind of humor I gave t learned about yet like 6 7 or something.

I going to say it: Bo Nix reminds me of Tom Brady when he first took the reins. Just trust our Defense and don't lose the game.
You should have held that one back until you thought it through more.

Allen is the streakiest player in the NFL. His greatest strength is when he gets in a zone like that and elevates his play and can’t be stopped. Bills fans call it Josh face.
On that day in that situation he was going off. We needed to find a play to stop the bleeding or to have called a better game in the second half to not aid and abet him with our offense.

Because Brady was a Finished product after Bledsoe got injured. Some of you are kind of sad: If you'll think the Texans and Broncos are not similar to some of those early Patriots Teams: you'll are being hypocrites. Great Defense game manager QB: that's what Brady was before he became Tom Brady. I think C.J. Stroud and Bo Nix can play game manager on Offense and rely on their Defenses. Both can be clutch when they have to be and have little playoff experience too.

Are you sure you didn't get Williams and Barmore mixed up?

As I'm constantly told on patsfans.com once Williams went down the run defense has slipped.. last I checked Barmore is still in the lineup.. Barmore HAS BEEN THE DISAPPOINTMENT..

As long as he's playing a defense missing 2 of its best players and has no pass rush.. he will continue to look unstoppable if that's the case..

Lawyer Malloy, Ty Law, Willie, teddy B, ted Johnson, ted Washington, Roman phifer, Rodney, Colvin, Vrabel, Tyrone pool, assante, Vince, Seymour, ty Warren, Jarvis green,

I can't name one player we have currently on defense that would compare...

Sometimes people see something obvious and purposely or out of spite ignore it. I've been watching Football for a while and can see certain similarities in some Teams.

I just hope that Bo Nix isnt brady and the pats and Maye is not the manning and the colts , considering the trend of the games and attention which both have gotten this yr. Its been eerily similar.
