Tough loss. I’m encouraged though. I think this is a solid team, possibly a 9-10 win team. Next week isn’t going to be easy. After a brutal start, being down 16-0 at the half, and Wilson looking bad (granted, the defense was in the Jet’s backfield ALL day), in the first half, the Jets played a much better 2nd half and Wilson threw 2 TD’s. Outscored the Panthers 14-3 in the 2nd half. Corey Davis caught both TDs. I wish we had signed him.
Mac was probably the best rookie QB today. He played extremely well today. I saw his post game press conference, and he had tears in his eyes, he was so upset, kept saying the loss was on him since he’s the QB. I felt bad for him, but it also says A LOT about him. He HATES losing, and I love that, he won’t take losing well. He really is exactly the kind of leader you want. He will get better, and I think this offense will improve pretty fast. I’m very excited about this team’s future.
Miami was 10-6 last year, barely missed the playoffs, have a good young QB and an excellent defense (Jaelin Phillips looks scary), and some good weapons on offense. Yet the Pats out passed them, out rushed them, out sacked them. Turnovers were the story. And still lost by 1 point. Heartbreaking, but not the end of the world. It’s not like we lost to a bad team.
