Lawrence Guy 76%
Danny Shelton 59%
Adam Butler 57%

Stephon Gilmore 94%
Jason McCourty 64%
Jonathan Jones 41%
JC Jackson 41%

Not a great matchup for the Pats. The Ravens scheme can get all 3 fatties north of 50% & turn the CBs into part time players.

The Pats secondary is historic. Their interior DL is close to average. The offense may need to win the game in a projected rematch.

Penalties and turnovers killed us.

With that said if BAL doesn't turn the ball over in their own end it's not as close.

It was a wash.

We were curb-stomped. Lick the wounds. Take the learnings. Get Wynn in there. Get Harry comfortable as possible. Play more disciplined. We'll be fine.

I do think we need another Shelton-like fatty. Bill has to see this.

This would of been a good game for Bennett.

IMO:

This game showed me that we need a better ST. Even tho i agree with the concept that the backup need to be only serviciable, Newhouse is not even that. With Wynn, Cannon and Cajust (i hope) we have a decent group but i would invest in a T because of Wynn's injury history.

O was fine despite Newhouse. Michel was fine too, even the running game looked better. Sony is what he is. I would not have drafted him with our first pick, to use a first on a RB he has to be as good as Chubb at least. I would like to see Harris getting more touches (or any touches at all).

Bethel did more for us in 2 games than Ebner did in years. Was all over the place.

We need another run stuffer next year. If Guy or Shelton goes down we are f*, but i don't think we have a bad run D, it is hard to defend 2 RB's all the time.

Once Chubb gashed us last week I was concerned and I was right Ravens did the same exploit, reminded me of SB52.

Anyone else still feel like the Pats were going to win the game until the Edelman fumble? Pats were almost certainly going to take the lead there and the game plays out totally different from there if Pats take the lead. Ravens could not stop the hurry up and we were rolling. Would have been 20 straight unanswered. Hate to put this one on Julian, but man, I could see a weary Ravens team crumbling after the Pats take the lead there. That fumble and return for 6 gave them a life line and to their credit, they seized upon it.

definitely the play of the game. Wouldve been easier to defend with the lead, and harder for them to control the clock when trailing. There were lots of areas to blame but i too have that play at the top. It happens though, hes bound to screwup once in a while.

and yes i 100% felt it would be a win until that play. Possibly a double digit, the way it was going on both sides of the ball. Catastrophic play

We got exposed. No way around. Our pass defense is great but our run defense is atrocious. Very concerning.

Well they have the iggles and cowboys still remaining on schedule. This team has to a better job of stopping the run. Thus far it’s an achilles heel for them.

Iggles and cowboys running teams. Let’s see if they make any adjustments. They where man-handled at the line last night.

I think Dallas could beat us. This schedule down the stretch is really tough.

Wait till they see Dallas and heck even the iggles.

Which is why nothing is a lock when getting one of those top seeds. This team got smacked in the face last night. Let’s see how they respond.

Disappointing

Not really. Game was flipped on a few mistakes (neutral zone infraction on opening FG, Edelman’s fumble, Watson’s drop, White’s trip). Plus that blatant uncalled pick on Baltimore’s 4th down conversion and Mason’s BS holding call in the redzone.

Baltimore has a stupidly unorthodox offense and it’s not surprising they looked unstoppable for a couple drives while the D adjusted.

Ok, my general impressions after a morning coffee and a chance to mull things over away from the heat of the GDT.

5. Watson's drop - his hands weren't all that when he was here the first time. He's a high effort, high character guy but only a middling to decent talent.
Cracks me up to see people talking about Watson’s “drop”.

We saw no replays of it and the single live-action shot showed us his back as he went to the ground to try to reel in a crappy underthrown pass, and the ball go rocketing away. We don’t know if it even made it to his hands or hit the ground first. But sure — it was a “drop” that he should have caught.

Another Waddle would be nice, swing tackle is definitely a need hopefully Cadjuste is ready next year. Cannon also has injury history so its much more likely than not that a 3rd tackle will be relied upon over multiple games in a given season.

There’s no “the EP”. EP is a terse way of calling plays and concepts. It says nothing about what those plays and concepts ARE. Did Jackson’s college really use a complicated option route offense where all the receivers have at least two options and they have to make the same read the QB does and the QB has to make the same read they do, like the NE offense does?
I strongly disagree.

Harbaugh has discussed this a lot. Drafting and expecting to win win Jackson at quarterback meant that the entire offense and offensive personnel had to be changed to fit Jackson.

Jackson wouldn't have been much to showcase for a couple plays a game, while we sat Brady.

I've said on numerous occasions it's a variation of EP. That NOT my opinion, thats a fact. Anyone who watched him in college & understands our offense knows he ran a variation suited for him.

@mgteich Its more then obvious why he said that lol. Balt runs a completely different offense then the one Jackson ran in college.

Petrino, Jackson, countless reporters have come out & said this. All of them are wrong lol? Anyone who understands football, watched him in college knows Jackson ran a system extremely close to ours.

I've posted numerous clips showing him running the same plays/concepts.

How do people spend so much time on a football forum. Talking abt football but still remain so clueless.
