I've always assumed I'd be a Patriots fan for life but I don't know how long I can watch a totally unprepared team with everything trending worse. If I weren't already paying $75ish for a YTTV subscription because my family watches I'd strongly consider taking a break and saving the cash. I'd support firing everyone involved with the Belichick tree and moving on now. This group blew their chance post Brady and it's time to give up on them.

You became a fan during the dynasty? These colours don’t run.

Patriots are spending $91m on Offense and $99m on defense compared to say Miami $96m offense and $103m on Defense.

Wow where is that $91m. They don’t have 1 impact superstar on offense. Henry and Trent Brown are combining for $28m of that $91m.

BB went shopping at the Salvation Army during the white tag 50% clearance sale.

How is Fatt Matt's Offense better than BOB's?? Inquiring minds want to know.
I dont remember the Pats getting blanked last year. Offensive output was by far better at this same time last year.

Mac is not the guy...that simple

What would Houston want for Davis Mills?
I’m not kidding
I would giftwrap a fourth and JU JU right now.

I don't want to hear it. I moved to NE from Illinois same time as Eason and have been a fan since although I wasn't an every game person until the Bledsoe era. Watched every 10am game at bars and casinos when I lived out West in the 90's.

I am thinking we should roll the dice on will Grier and Cunningham and see what they can do. If we have a QB that we like we draft them else stay put and draft the best offensive weapons and tackle in next draft .

Seeing what's happening with purdy and whats happening with the trades to get lance and Bryce young , I feel drafting QB is a lottery. Better bets are drafting all pro WR and TE . Tackle is probably best achieved by signing in free agency . College is not producing tackles as they are not athletic enough.

WR, CB, DE and TE are the more safe bets for draft success . Just continue to do that in early rounds and maybe draft maye or Caleb Williams if they fall to us .

Troy Brown isn't getting it done. Great player. Bad coach.

If Troy Brown “coached” the WRs during the Brady era, everyone would be singing his praises and swearing guys like Edelman learned their separation skills from him. The wide receivers suck. This is like when people thought Bill O’Brien was a “genius” with tight ends because he had Gronknandez. I’m not saying Brown is a good coach, bad coach, or neutral coach, just that no position coach really makes much of a difference. If they could really “coach up” players they’d be competing for $15M jobs across the league since it would be more economical to sign low priced scrubs and a genius WR coach. But that isn’t reality outside of patsfans.

The Pats gave Trent Brown an extra $2 million for plays like these?!? Someone call the police! Brown is guilty of grand theft.

There was strong suspicion about his work ethic

No sure where you got that number, but Sportrac has them 24th in the NFL at $77M.

The folks who have been waiting for season tickets to become available will be rewarded for their patience finally. I expect there will be thousands of seats opening up this off-season. So we have that going for us...

I got it from over the cap. Maybe the $91m accounts for dead money as well? I think Smiths dead money is $12.8 or something like that.

No, he just picks the guys who are on the field
Yes. He does. But that's a strawman.

he's not the one playing... he's not the one making bad decisions on the field.

We were able to score on philly. Could barely get it together vs Miami and the jets. Failed vs Dallas and New Orleans.

There is talent on the roster. More than getting basically blanked in back to back games.

Starts with Mac. Ends with Mac.

It's amazing how so many thought the coaches during the Brady era were "geniuses" and just about all of them have been putrid when they have moved on from Brady.

Not what the NFL thinks. It’s a talent issue across the whole offence. And Bill picked these groceries. From Sports Illustrated:

AFC executive: “Quite simply, they have no talent. And it doesn’t help that that’s at the quarterback spot as well.”

NFC executive: “The offensive line is bad, they can’t protect Mac, and Mac can’t move. They have no speed on offense at the skill positions. They used to have guys that could win one-on-one matchups; they don’t have any of those guys anymore. And defensively, they’re banged up. Losing (Matthew) Judon hurts. Losing the rookie corner (Christian Gonzalez) hurts, too, along with Marcus Jones.”

NFC coach: “They look extremely low on talent, to be honest. They have a pretty vanilla plan from what I can tell. An average-at-best QB only exacerbates those issues. They aren’t exactly world-beaters on defense now either — and losing Judon really hurt, and the two feed off each other. Defense gets a stop, offense goes three-and-out, defense back out there, basically no rest. … None of their skill players scare me. Hunter Henry is solid, not close to elite. OL looks sh–ty. Backs are slow. Receivers are overpaid free agents

This saddens me.
