True. No implications for Stidham at all. I don't think we've seen enough of Stid so categorically to condemn him, but neither do I believe he's necessarily the answer. We KNOW Cam isn't, however.

I don't doubt Asiasi, Keene or both can develop into good NFL TE's ... just rn they aren't

Broncos want one (likely will get Jones according to their best beat writer) but even if they draft someone else, within the first 8 picks 3 QB’s will be off the board and Jones is no worse than the 4th in the draft. The GM is actually still elite aside from sh-t evals from McDaniels. We draft well at DE, DT, LB, safety, OLine. So draft defense in the first round. Banish McDaniels from the draft process

Now they are a treadmill team. 8-8 is the best they can be but my guess is 7-9 is the most likely. There is no reason to play to win any of the remains games, and if Bill even attempts to then some serious discussion need to be made between him and Kraft. Every loss here, helps every little bit in the draft. This was year that proved the Pats cover if they had a really bad year...and instead they worked hard to get a sort of bad year.

Oh and the worst part is, not a ton of the teams ahead of the Pats NEED a QB. So that means those that have QBs will be taking elite playmakers that the Pats could have gotten. So basically, by the time the Pats pick, they will have the scraps from the high end of the draft.

And he does coach up an incredible number of undrafted and low pick guys to play like pro bowlers. He's just been burned by terrible draft reports from his offensive coordinator

Before the end of the season, can we please get Meyers a GD TD FFS?? He's been wide open at times in the EZ.

As for Cam, he's played approx 772 of 889 snaps, so assuming an avg of 65 more snaps each game, he should have nailed the 70% playing time incentive. He plays the next game, and he should be able to lock in the 80% one (with 90% out of reach). What's my point? We'll probably have to see him for at least one more game barring injury even though I really really really want Stidham to start a game (since he's got some experience with throwing TDs to Meyers, albeit in preseason). If Stidham can't beat the tanking Jets, then that'll answer that question.

How the hell would you know? No one outside that organization has any idea what they’re going to turn into. And even they don’t really know. There’s been zero sample size from either of them.

Agree. Can't say they can't play. McDaniels has called zero targets all year for Asiasi because this clueless coordinator does not value tight ends in the passing game. Makes zero sense.

You guys are expecting Meyers and Byrd, UDFA's to consistently beat NFL defenders who were actually drafted.

If Cam even had Ted Ginn this offense would look a lot better.

Cam doesn't require much to look good. Right now Cam has next to nothing.

FWIW, Belichick hasn't been exposed without Brady; quite the contrary.

He's taken a historically bad roster (some of it his own doing, some of it outside of his control) and gotten them to overachieve. Based on the talent (or lack thereof) at spots, this team really shouldn't have won more than 3-4 games, but Belichick has gotten them to overperform.

I'm optimistic about the future of the team if they can find a competent QB and use their cap space well.

Who are the 6? Lawrence, Lance, Fields. I see Jones at 4th, I doubt Trask goes ahead of him

I think LB is a more pressing need. Get vets on the D line. Kenneth Murray, the player we could have had in this year’s draft now playing for the Rams, would have been a very solid player for us at a position of we need 2

He's the best coach of all time, just as TB is the GOAT, please stop this Bill vs Tom talk...we know they are better with each other.
