The Patriots end of half strategy is typically conservative to kick off a drive when not in plus field position and adjusts depending on results of first couple plays. Pats received the ball at the 25 with about a minute to go and 3 TO's. If the run on first down had been successful (4 yards or more) I assume the Pats would have either gone into hurry up or called a TO. Because it lost 2 yards they decided that the risk/reward of being aggressive was not worth it. The net 55 yard punt was the killer. If it was a net 40 and the Pats got the ball around the 40 I assume they would have been much more aggressive.

I would have preferred they call a TO after the Dolphins last play to save some time and and tried a screen or another relatively pass safe play to start the drive. They had shown some signs of life in prior drive and it seemed like a good opportunity to control the momentum.

The OL has stabilized. Great games from Wynn & Karras with both having clean sheets. Mason is back to playing at an elite level as well

It's a positive that can be taken for the remainder of the season as well as moving forward. Wynn is playing like a franchise LT this month & Karras has turned into an above average center.

Chiefs will win the Super Bowl.

I like Niners over Chiefs in Super Bowl but Chiefs winning wouldn’t surprise me.

Chiefs went out this offseason and completely tore down their defense. We laughed (rightfully so) about the results at the beginning of the year. Now they have a very good defense to go along with that offense. They are peaking at the right time too.

Patriots have tended downward for both units. On offense, I get this year has been a huge anomaly for many reasons. On defense, the performances against Miami was just inexcusably bad/stubborn. The coaching staff lost their minds in staying in the same stubborn game plan. This has been an issue that’s been popping up a lot. Lazy game plan on defense and personnel no longer dominant. J. Jones has regressed a lot from injury; missing McCourty really hurts too. Think Chung and McCourt are playing like you’d expect for 30+ old vets late in the season. Van Noy not making a lot of big plays anymore either. Collins I always thought was kind of a fraud sucking up success/highlight plays from the rest of the guys efforts.

Anyway, the talent is hopefully still there on defense, but it’s never good to see regression all around.

I am sure he thought the risk outweighed the reward. They tried scoring vs Buffalo and got burnt. Already threw a pick 6. Not hard to figure out. He isn’t going to say it publicly. The offense heard the message loud and clear...
...yeah, and so did the "defense"...

Gutless, chicken-sh!t clock management told the ENTIRE team at the half: I don't really give a feck, why should any of you either?

Yup, old gutless BB at it again

"That Patrick Mahomes looked awesome on that game winning drive vs. the Pats."

[Hears whisper in ear]

"Fitzpatrick Mahomes? Who's he?"

[Hears frustrated whispers in ear]

"Ryan Fitzpatrick did that? What the mother %@!#*&?"

Chris
