I guess my thought is, who do they replace? Harry? I mean that is really the only one I can think of that needs to be replaced. Meyer has been a safety valve, and the others are all signed in contracts. Yeah I believe they do need to replace Harry, but isnt harry like a number 3 or 4 at this point?

They need a quick slot receiver desperately. The way this offense is built, they need a guy who will get open quickly over the middle. They really don't have that guy.

They may be replacing Harry, but they don't need a receiver with the same skill sets. They need to upgrade the X, but that is over Agholor rather than Harry.

We didn’t win this game because of Mac Jones either.

he never got a chance to win it. Bills went down the field and scored and the game was over. Just like he didn't last week. Not sure what your point is here. He did bring us back both times.

Other than to feed the "Mac is crap!" Narrative.

It's been a pattern this season of the Patriots giving games away on big defensive "got to have it" plays.

3rd and 20 vs Dallas, the run for a TD against the colts and yesterday's 3rd down stop. That's the difference from a good and great defense.
The pats defense is top 3 in the league....What is missing is the big play offense that does not exist at this point. They have won games this year based on that defense turning the other team over way more than the offense making big plays to win.

You just described the pats receiving corps the last 20 years for the most part. lol. I have seen them win superbowls without that guy at receiver. If you are looking for Bill to go out and pay big money for a guy who will outjump everyone and take over a game at receiver you might be waiting for awhile.

We always had elite talent. Rob gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Wes welker, Randy moss etc.

Those are all guys who could get open all the time and teams had to gameplan for them. We don't have anyone of that caliber on our team.

Also I think that player has to come in the draft.

There were plenty of chances to win it. Just they were before that. Can you show me my Mac is crap post?

They need a #1 receiver. A guy who is open even when he's not open. All their receivers are just "okay".

Every good team has that "guy" who is Just not coverable

We talk a lot about the WRs here, and we should. Not having the middle-deep guy probably cost multiple SBs during the Brady era. But that conversation needs to shift just a bit, now. This offensive system works best when it's got a "quicks" slot WR who can bust open right away. And that receiver is currently not on the team.

We didnt win a superbowl with Randy Moss. Edelman was not in anyway a number 1 on any other team. We came back in the atlanta superbowl when gronk didnt even play throwing to an undrafted free agent rookie in Mitchell. The pats have always won no matter if we had great receivers or not. Bill went out and spent a ton of money on pass catchers, something he has never done in the past in 20 years. Bill has always been about running the ball and playing defense, when that didnt work, we had a Qb that could take over the game. Edelman was a 7th round QB. lol Sometimes its not about spending 20 mil on a receiver, its about making the ones you got better.

We’re desperate for a slot. The wrs sucked today like just about everyone else.
Well, assuming that, why not get one that's good. Isabella has done absolutely nothing in three years and according to the news reports on him, he can run only one route, the fly. Which isn't exactly where we like our slot receiver to make their money.

This is a silly statement. Yesterday was a huge game for both teams, the idea that you should not treat it as such is incorrect. So far this season, that was the pats biggest game, so to this point it was both their superbowls
OK, then.

...people need to stop this it’s incredibly arrogant. This was appropriate when it was used for times a bad team went nuts in celebration after beating the Pats despite having a losing record and the Pats were still going on to make an AFC Championship. This game was essentially the AFC East Championship Game. In Foxboro. And the Bills won and won big after people buried them 3 weeks ago. It was objectively a huge win.
I live in Buffalo. If you think what is going on up here today is normal, you're out of your mind. I promise you it is not.

There was a brief moment in 2010 where the Patriots had all of those players _and_ AH. Of course Welker and Moss were on their way out but goddamn, if that isn't a Madden All-Star offense, I dunno what is lol.

Outside of building an RB corp, I truly don't know if I'd prefer another offensive lineup if I'm trying to make the most stacked offense of all time.

It was a big win, not sure how you think fans should act. two weeks ago the pats beat them and then they lost to the bucs the next week and people were calling them done, now they got back into things with a huge win on the road against a division rival. I mean how was Boston when the pats won big games in 2001?

we win the superbowl in 2010? Can we stop acting like we had the murders row of receivers for the past 20 years. lol. My God how people forget so quickly. Did you guys know that in most years the receiving corp was the least spent cap amount on the team? We never had top 5 receivers or all pro receivers. Right now Mac is very young and the team is built to run the ball and play defense, overspending on a receiver and taking away from somewhere else is not going to improve the team. in 20 years, when did the pats ever have a receiver making top 5 money? The pats always got receivers on like the 10th day or free agency. Except this year they went out and spent a ton of pass catchers, and now people are complaining about receivers? If you are a run first defense team what good is a receiver making 20 mil a year going to do? Bill gets players based on what they run. He gets players that will fit his system, not players that will make a system.

I’ve never heard these reports. I thought Arizona had players at WR so he was in a crowded room. I would have given a 7 for him.

If he’s so terrible, why is Arizona hanging onto him?

Question about the Bills left guard: often before the ball was hiked to the WB, he would lift his arm and point.

not sure I’ve seen any other lineman make gestures like that and it seemed out of place.
Hello, I am a lurking Bills fan. I first noticed this in 2019, when we got Morse, though I'm sure it happened earlier and I wasn't observant. It's our silent count snap on the road. Different teams do different things, but road QBs usually can't call the snap with their cadence because it's too loud and nobody can hear it, so teams are allowed to initiate the snap with the motion of an interior lineman. I'm assuming the hand gesture is Morse's choice.

Before Morse, I think I remember our guard tapping the center's leg, though I may be wrong on that.

I've seen head-bobs from other teams too. There was recently controversy about the head-bob in the Vegas/Dallas game.

Not like this, I promise you. People don't understand the mentality of Buffalo fans, but it's ok.

He's played in 6 games and has 1 catch this year. So 'hanging on to him' may be dubious.

This is from an article at the end of his rookie year:
  • Second-round pick Andy Isabella's rookie season was a roller-coaster ride. He played just 38 snaps in the first eight games before finding a small role in the offense. He established himself as a speedster who was tough to defend in one specific route: Fly. He showed off his speed, and how difficult he is to cover when he gets a step on a defensive back, during an 88-yard touchdown catch against the San Francisco 49ers on Halloween. He finished the season with 189 yards on nine catches. But he played just one snap in Week 17.
The next year he had 21 catches and as I said, 1 this year.

I know that unless they win, then the refs cheated. lol I get what you are saying, but the term that was their superbowl implies that a team is horrible and not going anywhere and won a game they shouldnt have because they went crazy for a game, that is not what this was. This was a big game for two good teams.
