Yeah the board has way too high expectations for a rookie QB. But he needs to work on some things in the off-season and Bill needs to get him a legit separating WR. Agholor is a #2 at best and Myers is a #3 at best.
I am talking about the Brady fans who spend more time rooting for Tampa and on the Tom Brady sub than here who are now coming out of the woodwork after a poor performance by Jones and a second loss in a row. It has nothing to with Brady himself.
Mac Jones had a good rookie season. No one is saying he is terrible. Just that he is unlikely to be a top tier elite QB that will lead a team to the SB.
As far as Allen goes, even in his rookie year you could get glimpses of his unique talents like his arm strength, elusiveness, running and mobility in the pocket. Same is true for Russell Wilson.
For an elite QB you will see glimpses even in a terrible rookie year.
You know what? I think I would like to see the Pats get someone like JuJu Smith Shuster at the slot. I think if they had a well above average slot receiver, it would make a world of difference especially with Jones being such a fast processor with a quick release.
He is an excellent slot receiver. And we have seen plenty of head cases come here and be fine. This isn't the Steelers where head cases are encouraged.

As I said, you are the one that brought Brady into it, not me. Nobody spends more time doing anything. Some still like to follow a player that was a pretty big part of our teams sucess over the last 20 years. Jones or how he does or what he is or what he will be has nothing to do with Brady or fans that like Brady.

Tommy Boy doesn’t exactly have a strong arm either, so let’s not make a big deal of Mac’s arm. We didn’t lose to Indy and Buffalo because of Mac’s arm. We lost because we were outplayed and outcoached.
This is a silly statement. Yesterday was a huge game for both teams, the idea that you should not treat it as such is incorrect. So far this season, that was the pats biggest game, so to this point it was both their superbowls

Eh, that shipped sailed. He’s been in decline with them since AB left. He’s also out of mind thinking he’s getting a four year plus contract with the Steelers.
neither do a lot of players on the current pats team. Again, it was the biggest game of the year so far for both teams. Not sure how you treat that, but if the pats just treated it as a meaningless game, then maybe thats why they lost.

Once again, how can anyone surmise that from a good rookie season? So now we've moved from "Mac Jones is bad!" To "Mac Jones has no glimpses of talent!"
Other than subpar arm strength. Not sure what the kid does bad. Has pretty solid pocket presence, throws an accurate ball and reads the field well. Those are winning attributes

Thats just it, I didnt surmise anything. I said what Mac is or becomes has nothing to do with what another QB on another team did. I said nothing about skills, I said nothing about what he will be I said nothing about what he is. I am not sure how else I can write this. If you took something else from that statement then that is how you took it, not how it was said. I think some of you are blending my posts into other posts from other people. I did not say Mac sucks, I did not say he has a weak arm, I did not say he will not be good, or that he is not good, or anything like that. I said what he is or what he will be is not determined by what another QB on another team did or didnt do in their rookie year, thats it.
