Here's the really big question about the last game against the Dolphins.

Say the Patriots beat the Jags and clinch.

Do you want them to play hard in that last game even if the division championship is possible with a Bills loss to the Jets?

I ask this because the Patriots would be playing @ Tennessee, @ Indy, or @ Buffalo?

If Tennessee beats Miami next week, they'll be the #2 seed. That means a Patriots loss against the Phins sends them to Tennessee rather than Buffalo or Indy.

I think I'd rather play Tennessee.

They should worry about winning and playing great football. If they lose 3 going into the playoffs it won't matter who the opponent is if they're just playing crappy football

It might be Mac's year 3 or 4 where things come together. Most of the contracts we signed this off season are structured to make it easy to get out of them after two or three years.
Our cap situation is phenomenal in 2023 as well. Over the cap has us as 9th in total available cap space. Some of that will be used this offseason on new deals and potential restructured deals for players succeeding there (hopefully Phillips and JC). But the same will be the case for the others too.

We need another home run draft this year. Dynasty 2.0 was built with 5 good drafts in a row (Seabass, Chung, Jules in 2009, Gronk and DMac in 2010, Solder, Ridley, Vereen, Cannon in 2011, Hightower and Chandler Jones in 2012, Collins, Ryan and Harmon in 2013). Dugger and Onwenu were good hits in 2020 and our 2021 class is stellar, we need similar success in 2022 to sustain this (as you mentioned in earlier posts).

First time since Gillette Stadium opened the Pats will have a losing record at home. Crazy

Starting 0-4 at home should have been alarming enough. Red alert.

5 of their 6 losses are at home. This is a weird year. We might actually be better off as wildcards

I think Mac is fine. The same pass protection issues that came up earlier in the year seem to be rearing again now. Mac is not getting enough time to throw and the receivers are not getting separation.

They won 7 straight playing a power-run style that the oc straight up doesn't naturally feel like doing. 2-6 playing crappy spread shotgun which also keeps getting our rookie QB hit and our LT plays like trash in.

.

Actually the Eagles punted once in that game, the Pats did not punt and LOST!!

Thanks. Ok so Brady never punted and lost, and the Eagles punted 1 time? Thanks. I remembered no Eagles punts but maybe it was during a bathroom break.

Cat fight in Buffalo:

We just plain sucked today. Still a couple years away from being a real contender.

I look forward to playing them in the playoffs. I hope the players and coaches are as mad as I am.
f@ck the bills

I think we need safeties and CBs in any draft, get a bunch of LBs in the 5th thru 7 rounds, because they always drop.

My concern is the D backfield because clearly we're giving too much space to offenses with BB concerned we'll get burned.

This D reminds me a lot of the Earthwind Moreland years when our D was good but BB knew we were weak in the D-Backfield so he disguised things back there. Ellis Hobbs, Moreland, sometimes Troy Brown.

We need depth in the D-backfield badly, and I agree about the LBs but that can wait.

Refs suck, Harry sucks and we didn't help our qb.

Myles Bryant << Jonathan Jones.

Bill needs vanishing creme, if not a cloaking device.
